The Now Show is back - weehee!

My Radio 4 addiction of choice is back serving up new episodes of The Now Show and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. Oh god I needed a laugh. Not only has the kitchen come home to roost this week but the builder has decided he wants paying this week and the roofers on Monday fancied cash. I think the bank thinks I am being blackmailed. The first teller I saw this week tried to get me to move some of our cash in the current account to a savings account until I said the magic words 'house renovation project' whereupon she said 'oh so the money won't be here long then' *whimpers* Retail therapy does not work well for me when the items are big ticket obviously. So anyway, self medicated yesterday with I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue where David Mitchell singing the words of 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' to the theme tune of The Muppet Show was wondrously hysteria inducing. (It is about 9 mins in - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00p2b01 - and even though he fecks up the scansion towards the ends and gets his Vestal Virgins a bit tangled up it is still one of the funniest things I have ever heard on radio and given that ti came right after Barry Crier singing 'Anarchy in the UK' to the tune of Singin' in the Rain that is saying something). But even that pales rather to insignificance to the discovery, thanks to Mitch Benn on The Now Show, that the perfect rhyme for 'Thomas Aquinas' is ... wait for it ... 'vaginas'. That little gem has brought me great pleasure. *grins*
