first of all WOW! That post on sleeping babies has obviously struck several chords with people. Never have i garnered such a response. Heck there's comment threads going on! Baby Boy went to sleep like, well, like a proverbial baby (which as the comment threads demonstrate is nothing like flesh and blood babies) tonight after fussing and fussing for ages this afternoon but hey, swings and roundabouts. I think someone's sleep patterns are all out of whack, and his probably are too.
On another topic we went out to Fota Wildlife Park today. This experience is best characterised for DD as a long walk with animals to get to the playground and ice-cream at the end. Although this time it was really a field test for the new buggy board that will be her main mode of locomotion going to school. It didn't rain and we had fun. The park is a great experience for anyone interested in conservation and good animal husbandry and one of the things they are famous for is the fact that their cheetah breed like rabbits. they have just built a big new habitat for the young ones and have set up, of all things, a cheetah run. To avoid the usual problem of cheetah sleeping all day and only really being active at times when the paying public are not in evidence the new enclosure has an 'enrichment item' of an aerial runway with a big hook on it that runs a large hunk of meat round the outer rim of the enclosure every day at 4.30. The timing of this sucks as we are usually there early in the morning to beat the crowds but we will have to make the effort to see it one day. As they haven't started putting the cheetah in little jackets to facilitate betting I am willing to go along with this being a decent idea until I actually witness it for myslef, but still, bizarre or what?!
I also tried to set up my facebook and am struggling. Sometimes i feel very technically illiterate and my dyslexia makes those damn security tests really hard to pass.
