Countdown to surgey for Mr Wol

Jan 07, 2007 17:39

Mr wol is tucked up in his hospital bed and waiting for tomorrow's parathyroidectomy. Only 6 months ago he had never realised he had parathyroids let alone a need to have any of them ectomied. Damn fool biology! Overnight observations tonight and then scans and the op' tomorrow. He may even be home bu tomorrow night. God I hope so! I am barred from visiting for fear pf catching the winter vomitting and DD the same so i hope he isn't in for too long or he will get very lonely and unhugged. He's been gone 3 hours and clingy pregnant lady is missing her husband something fierce!

DD and I are keeping eachother company and I am keeping my mind off matters by cooking a traditional Northern English meat'n'potato pie which will be served with traditional Northern English sauerkraut (don't ask me why - that's just how it was always done).

Anyone fancying finding out more about this procedure and maybe even viewing truly faintworthy images can go check out Mr Wol's blog at http://mylescorcoran.livejournal.com/103414.html?view=311542#t311542

Have been trying to blog about the Torchwood finale and the great books I read over the break but am suffering from a lack of spoons so no dice (except Mr Wol did give me some very funky cool dice for Xmas - nice man that he is!).

myles, health
