itching shoulders keep me awake at night

I've decided to write this before I give it a title because I have no idea what turn it's going to take. I also don't have any idea when was the last time I wrote in here.

I'm happy to report that Charlie found a new job and it looks like it might be just what we need financially speaking. That also means that we get to stay in Louisville in our beautiful apartment!

We went to Wisconsin last weekend. It was a really great trip, good food, great weather, lots of alcohol, and of course his entire family in for the reunion. I didn't think it was possible, but I was introduced to even more of his family, but I'm sure that I will forget them again by the next time that we go. I did get to spend a lot of time talking with and getting to know his cousins and their significant others better. We camped in the backyard of Charlie's aunt along with his mother, his cousin and her boyfriend (lol...it was her parent's house, but they wouldn't let her sleep in the house with her boyfriend..I thought that was funny). We played corn hole, horseshoes and had a campfire. We all drank a lot, laughed a lot, and got eaten alive by mosquitos (despite bathing in bug spray).

Charlie got to play in an alumni baseball game for his high school and I got sunburned watching the game. I can't decide which I hate more, the pain of sunburn or the itching of a sunburn that's peeling. Charlie has been putting lotion on it every day but it's not really helping at all.

I'm hoping to get to go home for Labor Day becuase my aunt and uncle from Flordia are going to be in town and I haven't seen them in more than a year. They couldn't make it to the wedding because they had to go to their grandson's high school graduation, and I'm sure they want to see pictures.

My mom has given us until October to tell her where we will be for the holidays. I hadn't even given it a thought, but I guess she expects things to be different now that we're married. I don't see any reason we can't do what we've been doing, but I guess it's not entirely my decision anymore.

Relatively speaking, life has been boring..but good. Really good. Charlie and I are finally starting to get good at being married. We've learned to give each other space, but still spend time together. We are learning to talk things through and share housework more evenly. Overall, things are improving. He even asked me tonight to leave him a list of things to do around the house when I leave for work. Haha! He doesn't know what he's asking for!
