The creature under my bed
There are two big reflective eyes staring back at me now, when I reach under my bed get a pair of shoes. I can barely make out the outline of this creature; just two pointed miniature mountains. As I reach a little further to get the left flip-flop, a white oval comes out of the darkness and touches my hand. I pull my hand away and I hear a faint purring and the green eyes blink.
In case you couldn't guess it, I have a cat! She moved in this week from two students who is moving and cannot take her with them. Her name is Lucy, and she is a black cat with white paws and white smudge on her nose. Lucy is still trying to understand her new home and whether or not she can trust me. She is independent and very active! She runs around the apartment like an elephant, and opens cabinets and takes cleaning supplies out (I hope she’s not trying to hint at anything). She also hates the very cute kittens that live next door; she hisses at them through the screen.
Now my apartment is complete! I love having a cute allergen around to relocate all my paper from the table to the floor.
