In a Dream
We were running from a world in crisis. I had no idea who the girl was i was with. She ran out of the futuristic restaurant with me. Our chips had already been turned off and we did not care. I dont know how we got here but we were in an opened field where I couldn't see anything but tall grass all around us and the tops of trees. We fell to the ground and laughed at what had just happened not realizing our futures were over now. There was nothing to go back to, no one would accept us. When it got dark I showed the girl how to build a fire. We found some kind of blankets that we turned into sleeping bags to spend the night out in the dark. The next morning we awoke to find more people like us around the fire that was still burning. I added another log to the fire and all of us talked about what had just happened to us except we never got each others name. I recognized some people from my life that had showed up but we never called each other by name. It was as if we had started a new life without remember who each other were. I couldn't even remember their names if I wanted too. We traveled for days and the family grew. Everything we had we shared, I felt so free and we no longer felt the burdens we did back in the "real world" here nothing could hurt us..
