Bangkok
We are currently in Bangkok, we left Koh Samui on Tuesday and caught the overnight train from Surantani (?) to Bangkok. This afternoon we are catching another overnight train to Chang Mai and going on a 3 day walking and elephant trekk through the jungle! We will be staying with village people on two nights so hopefully I will be able to get some cool photos.
We are staying in Kao San Rd in Bangkok (the backpacker strip), this place is crazy, it doesnt even seem like we are in an asian country. More westerners out number the amount of Thai people. As far removed as we thought we were from the western world, last night we were at a bar on Kao San Rd enjoying some drinks and a group of american religous nuts start preaching to all the backpackers. I guess only on kao san rd.... everything is crazy here.
Everywhere through the islands (koh tao to koh samui) I could buy white wine, but get here to kao san rd where you can almost buy every single western product, they dont have any white wine expect some weird pineapple brewed wine, it was disgusting and toxic, i passed out about 10pm last night from it!
Yesturday we walked around chinatown, so many shops here. I think thats only what Bangkok has to offer? shopping, shopping, shopping, and i cant buy anything :( im not sure what we are going to do for the rest of the day...
