Woke up
Croissant + jam
Phone calls to home.
Then set out for Hotel De Ville metro.
Caught the metro to this area is right near arc de triumph.
It is where all the rich brand name boutiques are located.
The giant Lois Vitton store was incredible.
There were like 50 people working there.
Some lady gave me a speech about the intricate design of Lois Vitton
And Mark Jacobs collection of handbags.
Kenneth bought mum a scarf, which was REDICULOUS!!
The Hugo Boss store had live trees and grass inside.
There were lots of crazies on this street.
Yelling out obscenities.
I knew some of the words from my time at Telopea.
I think the only French I learnt from that place were swear words
(and march on….)
But even the crazy yelling men sounded quiet poetic
With a strong French accent and gestures.
If I didn’t think I was going to be attacked I would have watched him for longer.
Had lunch in this little café.
Toasted cheese and ham sandwich.
Was tasty!!!
And my coke had no spoon.
She gave me “coke light” which is diet coke.
I don’t think I asked for it
And didn’t know how to say
“um diet coke sucks!!”
So I just drank it.
Reminded me of anneke, so it was ok.
Did a bit more shopping.
I thought I might buy some nice French lingerie.
But 1 pair of undies was like 150 euros….so I passed on that idea.
Then stopped off for a glass of Moet from a Moet champagne bar.
French champagne is totally the best hahaha
Was totally exhausted by this stage.
So we made our way home.
On the metro there was a guy playing saxophone.
Nice.
Before walking into the apartment
went into the pasty store next door,
got some tasty pastries.
Dinner was super awesome.
We walked from the apartment through tiny streets.
We walked into the jewish area.
There were lots of those men around.
With the big hats and beards.
Also about a thousand kabab shops
Think ill have to go get a kabab in the next couple of days.
Arrived at the restaurant.
It was this beautiful fancy French restaurant.
I had chicken with mushrooms and mashed potato in this yum sauce.
Everyone else had beef burginon.
We drank super fancy wine.
They had to “decanter” it.
Apparently they do that to old wines.
They pour it into this big glass jug
And let it sit there awhile to breath before you can drink it.
I had crème brule for desert.
It was probably the best thing I have ever tasted.
I ate it suuuupppeerrr slow.
Think about how slow I eat things normally…times it by a hundred.
So that I could savour it for longer.
Tomorrow jenneth and Kenneth go off to the coast.
Dunno what ill be doing tomorrow.
But it will be awesome.
