Okay, so it's 2:19 in the morning, and I'm pretty sure the only reason I have any intention of writing in this thing is because I just got my new laptop, and it feels like the right thing to do.
I love (and hate) all the change that has been going on in my life lately. The things I've lost cannot compare to all the wonderful things I've gained. Summer is going fantastically, and August is just around the corner. August is the month of health, don't you know.
Not really. But I've decided that's what I'm going to do. It seems right.
The boy situation is pretty much the simplest it has ever been. In my entire life. I love it and I love it but I hate it because there's only one path presenting itself right now. How scary.
Dustin moved away. To North Carolina. That is a really big bummer. I miss him loads.
Mando is here, and has been all summer. But she's at camp, and her last day off was today, which means I won't see her again until she is leaving to go back to Georgia. To college. That is terrifying, and so amazing, and life is coming at me so fast.
Harry Potter consumed my life for a full two days. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
I met (or re-met) a boy who is very very much like me. But kind of better. Haha.. He is fun.
I just got back from the absolute best concert I have ever been to. Maybe it wasn't the best concert. But it was probably the best time I've ever had at a concert. Hard to explain. Anyway, it was Rock the Bells, at Randall's Island in New York. Rage Against the Machine was headlining. It was their first tour in 7 years, after having been broken up. It was the most powerful set I have ever witnessed. Thousands of people were there. We walked back to Manhattan. We traveled for 19 hours to see it. It was the most amazing thing. I was front row. I can die happy. Ish. (That was Walter, Ian, Colby, Drew, and myself.)
I had some big ass tests of character. I think I did pretty well. I managed to maintain all the things that matter. That's good. I'm glad.
I've been spending lots of time with Meg and April. That's fun fun. They're swell. April's house is pretty much where I live now.
I've attempted Swedish Apple Pie twice. I apparently failed both times. They tasted fine to me.
I work at a Physical Therapy place. It kind of sucks. But this week will be okay, because the girl who seems to think she's my boss (she's not) isn't there. She's dumb. But I only have 2 weeks left after this week, so that's good.
College is soon. I can't wait. At all.
This Friday I maaaay be attending the Burton sale with Meg and April. We haven't decided yet, but I think it would be a good thing to do. I'm also hoping to get up to Meg's camp at some point this week to test out our new wakeboard. Yesssss wakeboard. So fun.
Other than that, I really have no plans for this week. I really feel like renting a movie, because I haven't in ages.
Next Thursday I'm going to see Band of Horses with Sam! Sam the boy. I don't like calling him Sam, so I probably won't anymore. But yes, it should be fantastic. I just got into them, but they are mega-wonderful.
And then... The Format and Piebald are coming to Higher Ground in a week or two or three, so that should be good.
I just... really like summer. As much as I'll be sad to see it go, college is going to be so amazing. Living in New York has been my dream for so long. And it will finally be real.
Hopefully I'll hook up with Todd and Loretta while I'm over there. They seem like they'd be good people to be in contact with. Not to mention, the concert scene is bound to be so much more amazing than I can even imagine. Only a few days after I get there, Riv and I are going to go see the Arctic Monkeys. I think that's a good omen.
ORANGE HOUSE '07-'08 YESSSSS!
I love my new computer.
Mmmmm.
It has a webcam which is hilarious. I can't figure out how to use it. That's probably a good thing, hahaha.
By the way, I just read the last entry I posted and it felt really good. I can't remember the last time I've been that honest.
I miss Walter. He should come back from camp now.
Oh yeah, I was prom queen. Hahaha, can't forget that one.
I still don't understand how that happened. I love it. Oh man.
I wonder if anybody shorter than me has ever been prom queen in the history of the world.
It seems unlikely.
I'll just assume I'm the record-holder on that one.
Anyway, my back hurts so I'm going to bed.
Oh yeah.
I didn't sleep from 6AM Friday until 8AM Sunday. It was amazing.
God I love road trips.
Let's go on one.
LAUF.
(Does not have anything to do with vomiting.)
