I'm reaching the conclusion that while I'd be a damn fine research leader, I would not be happy at it.
At the GS 14 & 15 levels, I am eligible for 90 day details at National Programs, the White House, Regions, Headquarters, etc if I must have some administrative stimulation. Meanwhile, I can accomplish my life's work: knowledge with a purpose to make this, in some small way, a better world.
