Don’t get me wrong, I love y’all for it, but I just read through 3 days worth of posts and there were over 630 of them. Though to be fair, part of the blame has to go to the numerous amount of communities I watch. Every time I attempt to cut them down I just end up adding a load more in their place. Damn people being so interesting.
Suzie broke the handle of my X-Files mug. I’ve only had it a few weeks. This makes me very sad. But not horrifically sad because apart from that, all is well here.
I went into the Undergraduate Centre today and basically complained about how I couldn’t choose any modules that I wanted to do and could they not help me at all. To cut all the long re-arranging short, I’m now much happier about going back. Along with my project dissertation, which I’m still hoping to do on Feminist Icons in Science-Fiction and Fantasy, my semesters now look as follows:
Autumn Semester:
The Contemporary English Novel
Modern European Drama
Researching Women
Spring Semester:
Popular Culture
Science-Fiction
Women in Film and Popular Culture
So my spring semester pretty much rules my entire world. I want to do it now! It’s such a relief to feel happy about uni again. This semester’s lectures are over, so now all I have to do is try not to let myself down on my final assignments, and start again in my 3rd year. Can’t be too hard, right?
I’m off now to stare at myself in the mirror some more. Which is not as vain as it sounds. Really. I got my hair cut by that Toni and Guy guy today, and the style needed was some kind of bob, of which name I can’t remember, but basically involves it being really short at the back, and much longer at the front. He showed me a picture and I told him to go for it because, meh, why not, it’s only hair. ‘Cept he then started cutting it really short at the back. And I got a little freaked. I do like what he’s done, but I’m not sure it suits me. As in my personality. I think sometimes hairdressers forget that sometimes hairstyles aren’t just about suiting your face, it’s about suiting the person that you are. I’m not a funky, radical kind of hairstyle person, really. Everyone who has seen it seems to like it, but as that everyone is Peet and Suzie alone (and Joey, but he didn’t seem very interested), I’m reserving judgement of other peoples judgement. Hmmmm.
P.S - Everyone who has Facebook needs to check out
