Don't sweat it... I started with season 8 and look whre I am today! ;)
The Goa'uld are an evil alien race... they look like a psychotic killer snake but with a mouth like Flukey ;) They are symbiotes, so they burrow into the human body and control the brain... it it possible for the host and symbiaote personality to co exist but the Goa'uld don't allow it...
They are bad because of aforementioned control thing... they see humans as their slaves... they use Jaffa as slaves too; they have a puch thingy in their stomach which nurtures the Goa'uld until it's old enough to take a host...
The Sentinel is the season 5 finale... a finale may not be the best place to start...
I just recommend lots of internet research and nagging me with questions ;)
I love how you put it in terms I can understand. :D
So the Goa'uld are different to the guys we were watching in s10? They both want to control the Galaxy? Does everyone want to control the Galaxy? 'Cos that's just mean.
There is another one after this which I guess will be the s6 opener (my logic is amazing, huh?), so maybe that will help.
No shippy feelings as yet I'm afraid. He's nowhere near her and when he is he just yells at her it seems. *frowns* I told you - I don't give my heart to just any ship - it may take time and patience if at all.
Oh. *Looks puzzled* I'm not a massive fan of topsy-turvy romance storylines. Hmmm, we'll see.
I think you were right, this was a bad place to start. Something momentous and emotional just happened but because I have no emotional investment in the stpryline or characters I really don't care, lol.
Oh don't worry... it's really more of a case that they get overly mushy about the whole team friendship stuff than their actually being any sort of a love triangle... I promise :)
Oh don't worry, I probably still wouldn't care if anything happened to Daniel :p

My best advice is to completely forget the episode you saw with me... for all intents and purposes it's a completely different show...
Just keep watching, it's the best advice I can give hon...
It'll come hon, it'll come ;)
