(no subject)
Yesterday was really, really upsetting. I was cursed at by a guest (I wouldn't tell him what theater a movie was in, because he didn't say anything about paying for it or anything, and it was Saturday night and I just didn't want him to sneak into the theater) but not to my face - after he left my register, he walked over to the person right next to me, Eric, and cursed me out to Eric. He said that I was one of his friends and he wouldn't let them buy a ticket until he apologized, and so he walked over to a manager, Robert, and Robert gave the guy and his girlfriend free passes, and everyone in the box, and the girl at Guest Services were all angry on my behalf. I was just trying not to cry at work or anything, and so I didn't get visibly upset, but then Robert came over later and just kept TALKING at me about it, and that made me sort of cry, and THEN another manager later came over to talk to me AGAIN and I swear, I just didn't want to cry in front of everyone. It was sucky.
Anyway, so today was better!
I only worked four hours because we weren't busy at all, half an hour of that with Eric and Andrea, and when I got sent home early I went to see Away We Go (which was quiet and sweet and funny and sometimes sad, I really enjoyed it) and then My Life In Ruins (which was funny and ridiculous and "decent," as someone put it). BUT I also saw George Lucas today? I'm not sure what the hell he is doing in Chicago, and I don't have ANY idea who he was with, but he saw The Hangover and then came back downstairs to buy tickets to Up later. THEN, while I was in Away We Go, Andrea sold Jackie Earl Hayley a ticket to the very same movie I was in, and so I saw him later. Guys! I'm looking forward to this week, it already feels epic in terms of celebrity sightings.
