Rugby
I love it, its a great game, but after yesterday there is no way I will play it! Yesterday was the vet staff v student rugby match that takes place every year. They had been playing for about a minute and a half when one of the staff got tackled and immediately hit the deck, pointing at his foot. His right tibia had snapped clean in half just over half the way down his shin, and even though his knee was straight the bottom part of his leg including his foot were bent outwards at 90degrees! When he lifted his leg up it hung down!! Oh my goodness, it was gross, and I really dont mind that sort of thing normally. So the ambulance had to come obviously, and had to drive over the immaculate cricket field to get to us. So yeah, that was a great start to the game...
And to cap it off, Lawrence broke his thumb, Mark got concussion, Tom tore a ligament in his ankle, one of the other staff dislocated their shoulder and Chippy broke a metacarpal.
And all that was during a game played for fun, in good spirits!
