Travis talked about Patrick Stump on his blog today:
He’s a slave-driver. “For as little as he is, dude’s pretty fucking militant,” says GCH frontman Travis McCoy. “He’ll be like, ‘Travis, hit this note!’ and I’ll be like, ‘Just tune that shit!’ and he’ll say, ‘Just fuckin’ be a man and hit that shit!’ I got four feet on the dude, and he’s putting me in check.”
Augh, FBR why so cute all of the time? ♥
I finally got around to listening to a few Decaydance albums I've been meaning to download.
Hey Monday: Hold on Tight
Cute album, easy to listen to. I think they're going to get sick of the Paramore comparisons, if they haven't already. I don't mind Paramore, though. It's a little more popish than I usually like my music, but I think they have a lot of potential to grow.
Gym Class Heroes: The Quilt
This album is amazing. It's a lot mellower than I expected, but I think it's a good mix of hip-hop and rock, as usual. I really like Don't tell me it's over. Lil' Wayne is everywhere, I swear. I love how Travis' lyrics can make me laugh. The parts where he actually sings really impressed me. Their music is just so different from the rap that's out there right now. I even like rap on occasion, it's just refreshing to hear something different.
The Academy Is...: Fast Times at Barrington High
This album is a lot softer than the other records, but I think it shows a lot of growth. It makes me all nostalgic when I listen to it. I really like The Test. It's sort of quietly achy and it suits Beckett's voice really well. I still love About a Girl too.
gym class,
