well, i finally made it to beautiful bellingham, washington. i am stunned with how amazing this place is. my train ride was way better than i thought it would have been. i figured by hour six i'd want to hang myself, but was pleasantly surprised when i actually enjoyed the train ride. while on the train i saw deer, wild turkies, a pair of white-horned antelope, trees changing color, beautiful glacier national park, amazing mountains, and the pacific ocean. i was so excited when my train finally arrived in seattle. i didn't get to see too much of it, but from what i saw, i can't wait to return to it. casey and megan took me around to different places in bellingham yesterday afternoon. it's a pretty awesome place. we walked along the ocean WHILE looking at the mountains. i'm amazed by this place. i can't fathom that i am going to be living here for the next three months.
i went running this morning. i didn't do as well as i have been doing because it's so much chillier here than it was back home. i talked to my parents yesterday and they said that it was about 85 back home...and the high here in bellingham was about 58. so it was even cooler this morning when i went running. but, it felt good just to get out there and do something physical after being cooped up in that train for two days. after casey gets back from martial arts class, we're going to go buy a bike for me, and then get some groceries for me.. and then i think i'll probably ride all over town and maybe buy some new shoes and look for a job. i need one really bad.
well, i hope everyone is doing well. i miss home so bad. i miss familiar faces. i miss my family. i miss familiar roads. so definitely feel free to call me to say hi and to see how i'm doing. it'd be grately appreciated.
