where *was* I?
gosh, but it's been a while. Guess that time really does fly when you're having fun. For those keeping track at home, the kiddo is now a whopping NINE Months old and is the main reason I don't look at the internets much. She is crawling like the wind and flirting with walking but has yet to say a meaningful word. I'm guessing this is mostly normal since I try to stay away from the crazy-making developmental milestones sites and books. We get along very well now unlike during her first couple of months :-)
I'm still working for the university library, but traveling far less for work. I am not sure yet how much of an impact this will have on my career. I do feel like I'm being taken far less seriously now that I'm a breeder. Ah well, I hear that's fairly common. Hubby is still trying to find a permanent job in academia and may just give up after 3 years on the market, so I may continue to be the breadwinner. Not that I mind. I love working outside the home and I love my job.
We had a delightful xmas holiday season, although it was spread out over almost two weeks and we were all sick by the end of it with a nasty cold. The mother in law told me that the baby looks more like me every time she sees her. "She's got your blue eyes, and you both have adorable pug noses." Indeed. I don't think I ever thought of my nose as a PUG nose, but there you go.
