OK...I'm going to try to get back in the LJ habit. I've been working my ass off (writing) for a living over the last few months...the last thing I've wanted to do is write during my time off.

Anyway, here is something fun to share...I love Flash.

Also, I am meeting tekki for coffee on Sunday. I'm looking forward to meeting my first LJ friend live and in-person. I hope she's not secretly a mass murderess looking for her next victim.

Oh, I got my big check from my main client today, so I went to Manifest (err...I mean Earshot) bought some new music and trolled through the used bins. Hyar's what I got:

Beck - Guero
the bravery - the bravery
The Crystal Method - Community Service II
Gwen Stefani - Love, Angel, Music, Baby

[those were new releases, the rest are used]

Ocean Colour Scene - Ocean Colour Scene
Ocean Colour Scene - One from the Modern (if you like English blues rock, these guys will absolutely blow you away)
stellastar - stellastar
Beastie Boys - The In Sound from Way Out (collection of instrumentals, for which the B-Boys have gotten little recognition, but their arrangements are superb)
Ryan Adams - Rock n' Roll (replacement for a lent copy that I forgot whom I lent to)
Paul Weller - Hung Up (more great English blues rock from the former head of the Jam; smoky voice, tight guitar, excellent lyrics)
Led Zeppelin - Early Days & Latter Days (2-disc retrospecticus)
Carpenters - Yesterday Once More (the Carpenters informed my toddler years, as my parents played them non-stop; I hated them as a kid, but as an adult, I realize how gorgeous their songs are; interesting note: my godfather was a DJ in Florida, and he played "Close to You" when he got word of my birth, and dedicated it to me...of course, the opening lyric is, "On the day that you were born the angels got together, and decided to create a dream come true..." Boy, did they fuck that one up)
The Charlatans - The Charlatans
Morrissey - Your Arsenal (I never cared for Morrissey solo because my dumbass ex-roommate was so into him it drove me nuts...but I love the Smiths, and I have slowly come around to the shoe-gazer...plus his song titles make me laff)

Well, I started this with no clue what to write, and now I've written a book. I will post more as I get back into the swing.

Vaya con carne!
