December is always rough for me. My daughter was born on the 20th of December, and even at soon-to-be five years, she knows what she wants. Care Bears. Horses. Babies that crap their pants and come with diapers. We made invitations, and I’m supposed to order her cake - because girls get cakes from Walmart (or some drivel like that.) Then just add on the general stress of Christmas (husband, 4 kids, crazy mom (besides yours truly), and many more in the ensemble!). Add to that the general stress of life - client work that needs to be done, yet, I am struggling for the inspiration to GET it done… And REAL work projects to get done - that glorious full-time job that I love, but am overwhelmed at the moment. oh, ho hum. Blah blah blah.
So, what do I do? Read. Yep, read, because hey, it’s there, no fuss (except if you can’t find your book, or if your computer can’t find a network connection…)
Stories listed here are in no particular order and no particular ranking (better or worse). Just listed because I’ve been reading. Is that good enough? For me it is… And sorry, it’s probably more all Edward/Bella, than Harry/Ginny, but please forgive.
Anyways.
Harry/Ginny
- God Rest Ye Merry Griffindor by armywife012205
Ginny's chastity has come under question and that can mean only one thing: The Weasley brothers want to kill Harry. What's Harry going to do, with six Weasley men trying to kill him? And why does Ginny think she's doomed? This story is Ginny's POV.
Rated: T; Chapters: 11; Words: 32,365
Kinda cheeky, but amusing. Looks like there is a companion piece that goes with it: God Rest the Merry Bride
- The Girl on the Bench by DukeBrymin
It was, perhaps, inevitable that they should be together. But then Wednesday came along.
- Oh Mother by emeraldlites
Ginny comes home from a sleep over at Harry's and gets caught by her mother. It wasn't what she expected.
Rated R (for swearing); Word Count: 1216
Edward/Bella
- Twice as long as yesterday by Hopeful Wager.
In 1866 Ireland, Isa Swan has agrees to Lord Cullen's proposal: in exchange for allowing her father and her to remain on his estate, she will submit herself to him each night for twice as long as the night before. But how long can she endure him?
NC-17; AU-Human; Chapters: 9; Completed: No; Word count: 38354
I wouldn’t normally go for the AU-Human stories in the Twilight verse, but this one is particularly juicy.. So think of it as a “fantasy” thing…
Note (June, 2010): This story has been removed from twilighted, but on a good note: it's posted onto TextNovel.com as an original fiction. Names have been changed, and it's really a good piece.

After twenty blissful years of marriage and happiness as a vampire, Bella and the rest of the Cullens embark on yet another college experience-Yale will most certainly, never be the same. A dark figure from Bella's past pops up-suddenly human, throwing the Cullens for a loop. As they struggle to keep their secret, Bella's past becomes fixated on her, desperate to claim her. How can they protect themselves when the enemy is human?
