She's grown considerably since we last saw her this summer and is now starting to look like she has hair. Since she's so blond, she still doesn't look like she has much hair, but it's an improvement. No problem. I emailed you to let you know I received the document, but I'm sorry that I've been so delayed in getting back to you afterwards. I'd been hoping to get this back to right away, but life intervened :-(. Is Sunday all right?

While I do have some grammatical nit-picks so far, I think the ending is fabulous.

Glad you liked it! Oh, and as unusual as this may sound, I'm really looking forward to seeing the grammatical nit-picks. I've been trying to master the wonderful English language for almost two decades now (first at school and after that during countless English literature classes at university), so I have this weird dream of getting everything close to perfect someday*g*

Could you perhaps drop me a little note in my LJ once you've sent me the beta-read version? For some reason my e-mail problems are still continuing, and if I spot a note from you I at least have a sure way of knowing that I should>/i> have received something...

I just dropped by to let you know the revised version of "Servants of the People" is now online at the Teaspoon and dwfiction.

Hopefully the transition from exposition to Meladka's POV is working better now than it did in the first draft version...

Tinkering with that part of the text nearly drove me crazy, so I finally gave up and went for the minimum solution.

And while I've already said it before, I'll say it again: Lots of thanks for the beta-read. You did a really great job :-)
