(no subject)
I got my co-worker to share one of his "I Voted" stickers with me. Mailing in absentee ballots just doesn't have the thrill of the community voting experience. Filling in the ballot felt rather important, but yeah. So now I can go to the local $bux and get a free coffee, or so I hear.
Tonight I will not be agonizing over the results. Instead, I have the pleasure of getting to see babalonyieh ! She and her slice of vanilla are driving through town tonight. We're going to head out to dinner, hopefully with trueheart and then hang out for the evening. It's as good of a distraction as I can think of for such a political evening. We'll all know tomorrow (please!) so it's for the best to enjoy this evening out. We only have tonight as they are hitting the road tomorrow on their way North, so I'm going to make the most of it.
Oh, and I'm really glad to see the sun again. It has a really fresh clean quality after several rainy days.
The rest of this week involves a big release at work, scrambling to catch up on homework and then going to school all weekend. I'll look forward to school much more after I feel like I've gotten more homework done. I really got behind during our travels and such (all for the best, but still, now I'm paying the piper!).
