Maybe it's just my part of town, but there didn't really seem to be any crowds, or things worth buying at today's alleged "sales"; maybe everyone went off to DFO or something? Regardless, mum managed to find a few things for the kitchen, and some discounted Christmas stuff for next year (if we remember where we've kept it between now and then, lol).
I managed to find the published Piggyback guide of Kingdom Hearts II for my sister, and to buy it despite unusually pushy people milling all around; one guy had cause to be annoyed at some other shoppers who were just standing in the way, but he did end up voicing his displeasure rather loudly (not that said people seemed to have heard or reacted to it); another busy father tried to push one of his son--repeatedly--into the line at the EB Games counter ahead of me, where his (presumably) other son had been waiting to buy his game. Ironically, they ended up in a line to the left of me, and I ended up getting served first (and getting the heck out of dodge--sucks to be you!). Funny how that still happens despite the general lack of serious crowds...
Unfortunately, the newsagents were closed, so my [dwindling] comic fix will have to wait at least until the weekend--oh well, I'm sure to get there eventually.
