I spent a lot of today just...well, doing nothing, really. I got a call from some family friends, which sounded urgent; it turned out to be that they only wanted to drop off some dinner they'd made for my sister and myself. Thoughtful, but we DO seem to be surviving okay... lol.
Inbetween moments of glancing at my phone and hoping for that important phonecall letting me know I'd made it to the callback stage of auditioning, I spent some time trying to level up characters in FFXII, and just getting fed up and trying to progress with the story. This proved insanely difficult as a) the first bounty hunt mark I fought was several levels stronger than my guys, and b) the second mark had so much health I nearly exhausted my entire supply of restorative items just trying to stay alive while chipping away at its health.
I also watched one of those schlocky Brit documentaries on anorexic hollywood celebrities, which was suitably disturbing; moreso than the 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill, which followed it later at night (although it gets points for having comedian Chris Kattan in a serious role). I did make an interesting discovery on Wikipedia after watching the doco, though: one of the few men who supposedly has/had fluctuating weight problems (or at least was photographed alongside someone who did have weight problems) was Jonathan Togo--AKA Ryan Wolfe from CSI: Miami. Apparently he won an award for his theatre performance in Our Country's Good... :-P
Oh, and amidst this, I checked my email, and found a message from Rob confirming I have indeed made it to the callback stage--HUZZAH! ^_^ I'll need to plan for rain tomorrow and find a map of how to get to !Metro Arts in the city from my bus stop and back again. Dinner/snacks and comfortable clothing also sound like a plan. And drinking that Red Bull before I go. lol. Here's hoping they don't ring to confirm my attendance too early in the morning.
