Well, in any large city, it is inevenible that at some point you will be slapped in the teeth at how strange and creepy people can be.
Example:
I was on the bus today, waiting for it to leave the station to take me home. I was in the back bench seat, on the left. To my right was a young woman...maybe 18? Anyway I had been sitting there for about five minutes when I heard "Excuse me?"
Anyway she asked me to switch seats with her. So i was thinking ...okay? why?
She went on to explain to me that there was a man sitting on the bench outside her window staring at her and playing with himself through his shorts. Oh yeah. Its true.
I work in a mechanics shop, so i was all grubby and unappealing and didnt fear switching seats with her. So i did. And through my dark tinted sunglasses there was a guy...may late 30's, blond with a mullet (rolls eyes) hunched over playing with his cock through the edge of his cut off's! oh yeah! no gitch, just penis.
I could hardly believe what my eyes were telling me! And its not like it was late at night, oh no! its was six in the afternoon.
So yes, creepy perverts do not stay in the dark shadows of late night. They are out there, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Okay, well lets just say this rec goes with my day. It is strange and wonderful all at the same time. I will warn you, the prolog and first two or three chapters really dont make a lot of sense since you don't have enough background on the culture to truely understand. However, this will rectify itself.
Its like si-fi, romantic, old western, x-men. You have people with differing powers, prison, romance, everlasting love, angst, escape. Its hard to describe, but its worth it. I don't read much orginal fic, cause most of it ends up sounding like cheap gay porn.
This is the exception. Go. Read. Trust me.
