I keep trying to think of something really cool to say about my church's women's retreat - which was this past weekend, and I've got nothing.

It went really well and I, and the rest of the committee, are quite happy about that. The worst thing that happened was a few people had to back out at the last minute, but that's life. The speaker was quite good and very personable. And I love our associate pastor - she's got a great sense of humor. It was just what I needed on a lot of levels.

It was also lots of fun to play Taboo one night with a bunch of the ladies. (Where we ended up being on teams because we were all wearing variations of either blue or pink. And about halfway through, someone on the blue team was like, "I'm hot," and starts to take off her sweater, to reveal a red shirt underneath and one of her teammates was like, "Traitor!")

We also played Trivial Pursuit (volume 6) the other night.

And you have to love the corny jokes we tell -
Q. Did you hear the one about the insomniac, agnostic dyslexic?
A. He stayed up all night pondering the existence of Dog.

One of our free time activies was watching One Night With the King, which is about the story of Esther. And about half of those of us who watched it were curled up either on the floor or on the chairs with their blankets and pillows.

Things are much less crazy now, but still a bit crazy. I just wish that someone would get back to me about the rehersal schedule for the next show I'm doing. We're supposed to be having our first tech rehersals this weekend, and I haven't heard specific times yet. I've also been given tentative dates for the rest of the schedule as well. And I need specifics, if only so I know when I'm supposed to be there, let alone being able to other people about things.
