I have been a bit quieter lately because my mum has been here for three weeks. She came by herself which everything considered was a good choice. Some pretty dramatic events on the Yukon Quest trail in the last few hours.
Weather conditions are more than rough, and from what we learned two of the mushers running for the win had to push the emergency button. Apparently dogs got injured, one even died - my heart goes out for the mushers. This must be the toughest thing ever.

A bit earlier than scheduled the Prime Minister left the hotel/Whitehorse this afternoon - finally all the excitement --not--is over.

We're glad to have our peace and quiet back.

I've got a glance at the man when he left and I have to say he looks better in person than on pictures...
