Peacekeepers Hampered by Environmental Concerns

Nov 22, 2005 20:18

In the second game of the season, the Peacekeepers found themselves quickly wrapped in the red tape of environmental concerns. Following recent policies of sustainable operations, Peacekeeping personnel are prohibited from removing natural growth from their areas of operation. When the peacekeepers arrived at the rink they were startled to discover that the roots and shoots team were exactly as described, a collection of flora planted within the ice rink. Unable to navigate their modified assault vehicle without damage to the trees and undergrowth, the peacekeepers were reduced to advancing the puck slowly through thick vegetation, often having to remove many of the spikes riveted to their equipment after seeing the effectiveness of their goalkeepers modified gear, after becoming tangled while crawling through the thickest portions of the growth. In the three periods of the game, the peacekeepers were only able to advance to the goal twice in regulation time, managing to squeeze the puck in through a particularly thorny bramble bush.

An unidentified person(whom we assume to be the gardener), pitched a puck several times into the abandoned Peacekeepers net while all players were brewing up a cup of tea, bringing the final score to a peacekeepers loss of 2-5.
