Having received a handwaved call from his Dad that morning to meet him in the parking lot, Dean was standing leaning against the impala.

His Dad had been short on details so Dean didn't know why he was meeting him there, but he figured it was probably some kind of hunt related thing.

Dean was spending some time with his baby sister, sitting on the living room floor with her as she crawled around and babbled happy baby talk at him.

He made a teddy bear dance for her and asked, "Can you say Dean, Gracie?"

All the gifts were recovered and brought back to the house, Christmas dinner had been finished and eaten because going medieval on a green dude's ass was hungry work and now everyone was gathered back in the living room for the gift exchange.

"So," Dean said, eyeing the tree with a big grin. "Who goes first?"

Dean unlocked the door and held it open for his brother.

"We probably will just get his voice mail," he said, continuing the conversation they'd been having on the walk up here. "That's all I've got every time I tried calling him."
