Character Notes: Soleil's Gift
In addition to being a hunter, Soleil has a mild gift for mediumship. Her grandmother had the ability to invoke spirits and do seances. Soleil's mother's gift wasn't as pronounced, but she could still "talk" with spirits and things. When Joliette tried channeling a particular spirit, she ended up possessed and was taken to a mental facility after the authorities mistakenly thought she had tried to commit suicide.
Soleil tolerates her gift. She thinks it's more of a pain in the ass than it's worth. She gets nightmares she doesn't understand, ends up right in the middle of something she didn't ask for, etc. Mostly, given time, things tend to work out, and she's learned to go where the gift takes her.
