*sigh*

So here I go questioning myself again. Sometimes I feel like my passion is too much for people around me to handle, because no one around me shares those passions, at least not to the degree that I do. Like my feminism, for example. Or my disgust of wasteful spending. Or wasting food. Or immigrant rights. For many of my friends, I can be too ( Read more... )

roommates, self-consciousness, feminism

i feel the same way. And i don't want to turn this around on me because this is about how you feel. Sometimes my humor is unflattering and in trying to impress someone with clever quips and off the cuff jokes, i'm actually coming on too strongly, making a fool out of myself. Maybe it's kind of like how you feel around other groups of people when you become passionate about something and just can't keep it at bay. It comes out anyway and inspite of recognizing this before it happends, it just does ( ... )

your facility for articulation fascinates me.
i really appreciate your commentary; it was very reassuring. [and no, you weren't turning it around to you, you were trying to relate which says a lot about your empathic character :) ]

Hey, i thought you'd be happy to know i'm re'doing the site for the Hispanic Business Expo, which supports economic development of Hispanic owned businesses and people.

Only for the chapter in the metro-area though. Still it's something! I'll let you see it when i'm done but it won't look that savvy. The Client is basically retaining full control over this design and i can't really deviate from the exact blue prints i was given.

Yay hispanics!

Also! I need your help. Since i'm too tired to do this and i'm about to hit the sack, maybe you could. If you want! Find me some stock images of clean-cut hispanic citizens. Generic clean, non-grainy. Clear, sharp. It's preferable if they're staring straight ahead at what's in front of them. Also that the background behind them be light or blurry or even white. As long as it's thrown out of focus considerably. They can be smiling or showing little expression. No cryers or emos. haha. It's up to you. You don't have to but if you do try using www.sxc.hu OR images.google.com and then just send me the links to any good ones that might find. I just had an idea as i was laying in bed and i liked it so much that i had to get up and jot it down.

Okay. Any woman who believes they should be equal with men is a feminist. People just need to stop with their stupid myths and lies about feminism. Its re-goddamn-diculous ( ... )

Hmm. I don't think you're too passionate. if you feel that people respond weird to the rants maybe you just need to work on time & place when you express it. but i don't think you should suppress it because those around you are too content in their comfort zone to have any passion for anything. but finding people who share your passions make it easier to have a double sided rant session rather than a one way thign where ppl are like... uhhh i dont know anythign!

i can't stand the girls in (or guys that are lame enough to have a) sweet 16. i want to watch that show with mom and dad someday and say "thank you for disciplining me as a child." I'm glad i got spanked and that mom didn't hesitant on saying "NO!" to us. those children are pathetic and their parents are too.
