WTF, failure?

Got back my Latin quiz, the one I was so sure I'd got at least 90% correct. I was so sure that I knew it all. This is the one I memorized all the declension endings for and I was certain that I'd gotten all the grammatical jargon correct on the analysis section.

Less than 50%. What the hell? I'm not even upset, I'm just confused. Apparently Latin is one of those subjects that I understand more the less I understand.
