Watch as I actually say something.
At around 3:00 this morning, I decided it'd be a good idea to try again to renew my paid account with my debit card, which hadn't worked before. It turned out this was because I had entered my CVV2 number wrong. I corrected that, and here I am with two more months paid time. Triumpf!
As you may or may not know, I'm in my uncle and aunt's house in Traverse City, Michigan now. My cousin Sara's wedding is on Saturday and we're helping out. Or, rather, the rest of the family is helping out and I'm lazing until people tell me to do stuff, which seems to work all right, I guess. On the ride over here I finished Book of the Dead, and I'm now officially finished with the Pendergast series as it stands at the moment. True to form, I didn't like Constance much until she picked up the scalpel Diogenes had sent her, and I gleed (insanely) over the fact that Pendergast, Nora, and pretty much everyone else used Macs in that series (except for Diogenes logging onto a PC at one point, I think. I love that the villain was the only one to use the evil that is Windows).
I decided while reading the series that Nora is definitely a lesbian, despite her marriage to Smithback. I mean, honestly-- she becomes so close to Margo Green and Viola Maskelene minutes after meeting them. Tell me there isn't subtext there! And Margo and Nora have an intimate homecooked dinner together. It's a date, it has to be.
Something of a GIP, by the way. This is the first Inara icon I have-- I think I have every other crew member except Book, now. I love the little pouty look on her face. Smug companion.
On a less than thrilling note, my belly button is hurting.
