Confession
So, I broke down and read _Twilight_. I could probably try another one, but I can't say that I was overly impressed yet. There must be something to them if they are so popular, but I don't know yet. Let me try it this way. If I were to go on my own judgement, I would say, eh. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. The sentence structure was annoyingly choppy throughout and she played the same scenes over and over and over again, just in different settings. The first 400 pages could've accomplished the same character development in 1/4 of the space. The last quarter of the book was a decent, thrillerish ride. Maybe I'm just too old for the books, but I did enjoy the portrayal of a small town high school experience. If my 8th grade student has the next book, I'll borrow it from her to see if the story continues to develop.
