Some Great! and Not So Great Events

It's been almost two weeks now...

School... Nothing special.
Extracurricular...
District Auditions! I did alright, I could have performed a bit better. Oh well, I made it! I still don't know what chair I am. For the show, we started choreography, and now we have started to run the show. By now, I have almost all of Act 1 memorized. What else... In economics, I got to work at the game on Friday selling glow sticks... WHAT FUN! Only... not really. Then the next day, I went to frisbee (I got a ride from Allyson who has her license! (Congrats, and thanks for being my chaffeur!)). Then I went ice skating. Only 5 people (6 including me showed up), but if only one of those people had shown up, that would have been enough... more about that later. ANYWAYS... Frisbee is starting to die down for the year so it seems... hopefully we can salvage a few more good weeks!

Here's one that hasn't been alive for awhile: Love Life! So there's this girl, right, I (believe I) met her first at frisbee. Anyways, throughout the course of... I don't know how long, I got to know this girl a bit better. I saw her a few times other than just frisbee... mainly just in the halls at school, and also at Allyson's two weeks ago. After Allyson's little gathering, I was pretty sure I liked this girl. So over the course of the next week, this grew on me, and then on Saturday, she came ice skating, and so we got about an 1.5 hours to just talk and skate, with some distractions, but it was at this point that I knew that I had to do something (not to mention that Scotty figured it out and started doing stuff like push me into her). So we stayed up until about 1:00 that night on the phone, but I decided that I would be able to take this chance in person. On Monday night, HARP was invited to this ghost tour at the Mishler Theater. At first, she didn't come, so I talked with my Cambria Heights buddies. Then she came and I made her join our group. And from that point, I would be willing to bet that I had my arm around her or something more often than not. And during the course of this tour, we went on to the stage. I don't remember much of what the one 'ghost' was saying, because we started holding hands, but it wasn't until we all were taken downstairs that I lost my single status. SWEETNESS! So who is this nice, sweet, amazing person? Christina Sabol--you are the best thing that has happened to me since... I don't know what. Funny thing was that I left the theater first between the two of us, and when I got home, a ton of people I.M.ed me about it... news truly travels fast! So this week, I've been up in cloud nine (and I've been up until 1:00 or so on the phone too!) Wow... that was long!

So this weeks out of school stuff... well, there was the play, and the Mishler Theater Tour. On Wednesday, I went to Philadelphia with some of the other Social Sciences classes. I saw the National Constitution Center among other things. That's about the extent of the rest of my week.

Baseball...
Well, Yankees blew it in game 7... AGAIN. Only this time, it was againts the Red Sox, and NOT at the World Series. Anyways, game 3, they won their 3rd straight game 19-8. Then Boston, at that point 0-3, came back and won. So they went to the series against St. Louis. They then made history. They won 4 more straight games. So not only did they win the series for the first time in 86 years, but they did so with an 8 game winning streak and come back from a 0-3 losing series. Augh... hopefully next year Yankees can get there power back. (This was the not so great event mentioned in the title by the way)

I now have a wonderful new reason to wake in the morning!
