where do i begin...

It was a better development than I ever imagined, and I LOVED IT!
you are clearly misguided in your ways... i am a proud dumbledore purist!! (and nelly always gave me hell for that.) sure this development makes dumbledore a more robust character, but (1) he's dead anyways so it's not like it makes that much of a difference now, (2) dumbledore just doesn't work as a voldy-wannabe, and (3) with voldy as pure evil, you have to have the pure good to counteract it. i'm sure that, as the physics queen, you are fully aware that every action has an equal and opposite reaction!

Anytime it talked about Harry and Ginny's "stolen hours" in the "secluded corners" of Hogwarts.
ahhh it's comments like this that make me miss high school. of course, i was thinking the exact same thing as you. ginny likes her chiiiicken!

Awww Krum is horny and frustrated that he can't get groupies.
ROFL! damn you hermione, you had a very eligible quidditch star and you went with RON?

He didn't even get to gloat to and/or bitch at Harry.
ahhh, we greatly disagree about snape's death. the fact that harry only realizes snape's true colors through his memory after he's dead is what makes it even more awesome! snape serves harry a healthy post-mortem dose of "i saved your ass along and now that i'm dead you can never apologize to me and you'll have that on your conscience for the rest of your life, take that bitch!" although harry turning this remorse into albus severus was completely uncalled for. i definitely would've liked to see more snape though. and draco. how awesome would it have been if at the end of the battle of hogwarts, harry and draco finally throw aside years of sexual frustration, stop hiding their feelings for each other, and make out. yes precious, that would have been very fitting ending. and then hermione could have been with ginny. WHY do these books have to be written with children in mind? stupid kids spoil everything.

I've done all the ranting I needed to do 2 years ago.
umm, all the ranting in the world against ron/hermione will never be enough. ugh.

I'd have preferred her sticking with the HBP momentum and carrying though Snape/Narcissa.
wha?? i don't see how hbp points to snape/narcissa; it points to snape/lily! i really don't think snape/lily is all that cliche, and it works out ok. snape got shafted in the end anyways. and jrk conveniently left out how james and lily wound up together. that could've been interesting. then again, it also could've been atrocious.

I honestly didn't think it was going to be such a bloodbath.
i was actually expecting a lot more deaths. and i was definitely expecting at least one of the trio to die.

The latter could've been done by anyone, and it could've probably been done quicker by committee.
i disagree. you can't have the entire hogwarts faculty and student body out looking for horcruxes... that would've drawn way too much attention. voldy would've found out right away and then hid away his horcruxes in better places or put them all in protective bubbles or something. they destroyed 5 horcruxes before voldy could do anything to stop them, and that was absolutely key.

The former could've been accomplished really easily by telling Harry that he's a horcrux and he needs to be killed.
uhh... this is exactly what happened.

Are supposedly "good" people just going around using Unforgivables all over the place now?
dude, i totally agree... wtf? by the end of the book, i was half expecting a bunch of first years to lob avada kedavras at the death eaters.
