With Christmas fast approaching Usagi was pretty busy, but she was never too busy to go on a date with her...well, she wasn't sure what they were officially. She viewed Yuugi as her boyfriend, as someone who was extremely important to her. Someone who could always lift her up when she was feeling blue, someone who she could be honest with entirely...someone who made her feel like she was the most special thing in the world.

And now she was with him on a date, one of many that they would hopefully have in the upcoming year.

She wore something winter appropriate. Long pants, a scarf, a light pink sweater and white mittens. the blonde hoped she would be okay on the ice. in her past life she was able to skate wonderfully, as Sailor Moon she could skate great...but as Usagi? She wasn't so sure.

"Great! I can't wait!" she chirped in reply. She watched his hands go inside his pockets and secretly wished she could hold his hand. But she didn't want to force him or anything. Still...they were on a date...so she maybe walked a little closer to him..and had her hand brush over his arm.

"Have you gone ice skating before?"

Yuugi felt his cheeks warm at the brushing against him. Or maybe it was the effect of the cold wind blowing against his face. Either way, he was so worried about making the date nice for Usagi.. that he was kind of forgetting about his.. well.. date. He wasn't sure if he could call him his 'girlfriend' yet, since.. well.. how did someone make that official? Atem seemed to imply that all he really had to do was take her out somewhere and let her know how he felt.

One was easier than the other. Far easier. He was never good with words, even if he was as honest as possible.

"No, I haven't." Yuugi replied sheepishly, removing his hand to interlock their arms together, sliding his hand out of his pocket briefly before returning it. He might have to invest in gloves. Eventually. Though the closer they got, the more this seemed like a worse idea..

"...Have you?"

"A little...but I haven't tried for about a year or so..so..who knows how I'll be.." Hopefully not tripping my own two feet.....over the entire time... The thought went through her mind as she linked arms with him.

Usagi noticed how quiet Yuugi was as they walked. Did he have something on his mind? Or was he just feeling like the quiet type? It worried her a little, since when people were quiet it usually meant something was weighing them down. She wanted to ask and see what was wrong, but she didn't want their date to be full of angst. Then again, if she didn't ask...it would be hanging over her head the entire time...

"Is something the matter Yuugi-kun?" she asked, giving into her own guilt. She leaned a little bit more on him when she asked..and rubbed his arm a little for warmth.

The question surprised him, perhaps more than it would have, and then promptly blushed because.. obviously.. he wasn't as good at playing it cool as he would have.

"Sorry, this is my.." No, no need to come off as a total loser. Besides, it wasn't technically his first date. "I just want to make sure everything's perfect, that's all."

He was nervous. He couldn't think of any other way to put it. He shouldn't be, because what difference did this really make? It was just the two of them, together. They were always together, just the two of them.

Usagi had to stop for a moment and in the process she held Yuugi back. She looked him straight in the eye and smiled.

"But Yuugi-kun, it's already perfect. I have you, don't I? That's all that matters to me," it didn't matter to her that they were going ice skating. They could've been sitting in her apartment making a puzzle for all she cared. She wanted to spend time with him...that was enough for her.

Having said that she leaned in to kiss him sweetly.

Yuugi wasn't expecting that, and was thusly pulled back just a little bit. He turned to look at her with slight confusion, but then she spoke and that familiar tinge to his cheeks settled in once more. As well as a slowly, growing smile.

"I.. r-right, sure." Yeah, he wasn't good at playing smooth. But the kiss he could do! He returned it softly, perhaps lingering for a second or two longer because it was nice and she was warm and his face was freezing, scarf or no.

"I just... I want to make this... I don't want to mess this up." He replied, feeling all sorts of lame, once they parted, though he kept holding her hand.

"You'll be fine..." she whispered, kissing his cheek. the only way he could mess up would be if he decided to ditch her right here and now. oh and of course cheat on her, but he wasn't the type. She knew that for sure.

They kept walking together until they got to the ice rink and had to rent their skates.

"We'll be warmer once we move around the rink."
