The Island has started to change since yesterday. Maybe you've noticed. It's getting a little bit colder. The sun is setting a little bit earlier every night. The leaves on the trees are starting to look a little less green. Pumpkins and dried stalks of corn were starting to appear in corners. He wasn't supposed to be there, and Kaiba made sure anyone who went near him saw it on his face. He had bee sitting standing about 100 feet away or so, safely out of the line of socialization, expecting Kia not to come. Once he saw her though, all previous laid plans were off.

For the moment, he's lingering in the darker part of the party, standing in the back with his arms crossed and watching their captor. He made no concession to the weather, as usual, still sticking to his trenchcoat, belts, and long sleeved black shirt underneath. His expression was cold and distant, focused on the girl instead of anything that might have been next to him.

This wasn't a party to him. Anyone who caught sight of him would know it on sight.

Nill had just arrived, more out of curiosity to what it was rather than to socialize. It wasn't really something she was used to, anyway, despite the small socializing she had done with Atem or Madotsuki or anyone else she had come across.

It was quite dark, and her eyes were still adjusting when BAM. She bumped into a tall figure that just happened to appear out of nowhere (at least for her, anyway, he could have obviously been there and she hadn't seen him).

Kaiba growled and stood his ground, turning to shoot a glare at whoever dared run into him.

"Pay attention, fool," he snapped, not really in the mood to have his vision obscured at the moment.

Ken had never been to a bonfire before. Well...technically he had been to very few parties before, excepting the other parties he had been to on Salkia and his own Christmas party at home.

He settled for hovering near the table with drinks, claiming a hot chocolate for himself to keep his fingers warm.

"The seasons always change so suddenly here," he murmured to himself, looking up at the sky for a moment before glancing around for anyone he knew.

The invitation to the party was interesting to say the least. With TK being here and working at the shop...she didn't really keep much track of time. And soon enough it'll be Christmas... the second Christmas she'll have on Salkia.

Homesickness began to settle in her and she thought she could push it aside. She was heading to the food table when she spotted Ken.

"Hey."

Ken blinked and glanced over, smiling when he noticed Hikari.

"Hikari-chan, hi," he said, before noticing she was looking over at the food table. He flushed and shifted awkwardly.

"Can I...can I get you something?"

Kia was happily sat on a log on one side of the bonfire, stuff to make s'mores laid out beside her and marshmellows roasting happily above the fire as she held the stick above it. For all the world she looked like a kid happily enjoying the party, bundled up against the weather, but jacket stripped and tossed off to the side in light of being close to the fire.

[ooc: Please be aware that with interacting with Kia may get you godmodded if you're aggressive enough with her~]

Kagome didn't want to go but she was afraid what would happen to her if she refused. What of instead of an animal, Kia turned her into something horrible like a monster and made her attack people. Spotting the girl, she walked over and sat somewhat beside her.

"Hi Kagome!" The girl said cheerfully, offering the other a grin before pulling her marshmellow stick back, inspecting it before setting it over the fire again. Not quite done. "I'm glad to see you here!"

For all the world, she didn't seem very intimidating.

After what happened with meeting Kaiba at the arcade and learning a few ...things. Yuuki was back to the way she was before: quiet, and shy. It seemed like she had shut down after learning that...Atem would only be taking care of her..for now. When the time came he would leave and whoever supposedly loved her...would come get her.

But if that were true...wouldn't that person be here already? And wouldn't she remember?

Learning that made her heart sink. She supposed the family she was trying to create was already out of her little reach. Since she was invited to the party...she went with Atem, not letting him hold her hand or have him pick up. She walked beside him until she drifted towards a spot that was a safe distance from the bon fire.

When Sasuke had arrived at this little gathering, he was very tempted to turn right back around and go home again. He didn't want to interact with anybody, didn't want to waste time with the so called `Kia's` games. His one true goal was to still get off this island, no matter how long it took him.

Stepping slowly towards the fire, he brought his hands out of the pockets of his blue coat, holding them out over the flames. Almost instantly, his fingers and palms began to warm, making him relax just barely, though his dark eyes were darting in every direction, half expecting that kunoichi to sneak up behind him.

He was going to have to be very careful around here for a while.

Though, his eyes caught sight of a small head of brown hair which made him turn his own head completely in that direction. It was the little girl from the other day ... Maybe, he could try again.

Pulling his hands back, Sasuke stuck them into his pockets once more and stepped towards the girl, making sure his footsteps were loud enough so he wouldn't frighten

When Yuuki heard someone coming close to her she looked up. For a moment her eyes went wide and she wanted to call for Atem, but stopped herself. No..she didn't need to bother him. Instead she bowed her head once more and scooted away from him.

Hopefully he would take the hint and leave her alone.

He hesitated when she began to move away, his eyes narrowing in a slightly (surprisingly) hurt way. Had he really scared her that badly? All he had mentioned was that there was an older version of her walking around the island ...

Shaking his head quickly, he straightened up a bit and continued towards her, kneeling down once he was a few feet away from her and settling his arms on his knees.

``... Yuuki.``

Sesshomaru was not one for parties, but he felt compelled to go. He remained by the lake the entire time, staring out over its surface.
