Ichigo hadn't even had the energy to really patrol, but he forced himself to anyway considering he'd proclaimed it as his job. Of course the forest was quiet, but somehow the orange haired teen felt like that night was anything but.
When he'd woken up from his nap with Rukia, he'd finally gotten to talk to Neji since the night he'd come back. But his emotion got the better of him, and now he had to explain to Rukia that he'd busted her LP in a fit of rage. He didn't mean to, but ever since that night those feelings had been building up, and when Neji tried to tell him it was all okay--he'd just snapped.
None of it was okay. Regardless of if people came back on the Island, it was still a hard thing for any fifteen year old to see.
Ichigo was headed to Rukia's house now to break the news to her about her device. He felt terrible about it, but thankfully he had Kouya's and his own. So he could at least lend his to Rukia and use the other girl's until either he found her and had to give it back or until he could get Rukia's fixed.
The orange haired teen walked up the front walk to the front door, lifting one hand to knock on the door. He then leaned against the door frame, his sad brown gaze glued to the ground in thought. On one hand he felt like a complete asshole for yelling at his friend, but on the other he wanted to deck the brunette in the face. How could Neji even begin to think that it was okay? Ichigo couldn't help but blame himself--he KNEW he could have saved him. Even if it meant his own death, he could have done it. And he would have, just as Ichigo knew Rukia would have too.
Ichigo waited patiently for the older Shinigami to come to the door, and he was pretty sure she would be surprised to see him. They'd never discussed seeing each other later tonight, but here he was, looking like a wreck and holding her busted LP.
