Ken was returning back to his apartment, Caterpie clinging to his neck, and two full grocery bags hanging from his arms. Wormmon, whatever form he had been in, had always driven his mother mad from the amount of food he ate. Ken figured it would be better to be safe than sorry, so decided to pick up some extra supplies at the store early.

Cissnei's landing attracted his attention, the large bird causing his Caterpie to tremble slightly. Ken raised a hand to comfort it while he walked closer.

"Cissnei-san, it's been a while!" he said, a bit more cheerfully than he felt, but he really was happy to see the woman. Caterpie...not as much. The Pidgeot frightened him quite a bit.

Halfway turning to look at who called her, Cissnei smiled when she saw it was Ken, her former roommate who she still kept in contact with. Less than she should probably, but Cissnei kept an eye on him whether he knew it or not. "It has." She agreed, stepping away from Pidgeot with the command of 'Stay.' before moving toward the other, noting the Pokemon he had with him. Birds and worms, yeah not quite the best combination, but hers had proven to be well behaved so far.

"How have you been Ken? I'm sorry I didn't see you at the party." Well, she had other things on her mind at the time, so that wasn't too surprising.

Ken shrugged off the question, all the while trying to keep the Caterpie in his arm still. "It's fine. I was a bit...busy at the party," he said vaguely, not really willing to get into his conflict with Daisuke if he didn't have to. Even though it he knew the woman probably already knew about it. She always seemed to know everything that was going on.

"But I am glad to see you, Cissnei-san. Is that your Pokemon?" he asked lightly, trying to change the subject.

She went with the subject change easily, not wanting to upset the other. "It is...Quite a shock to find in your living room, I tell you." She shot an amused glance at the bird briefly, remembering how Ifrit had come yowling into her room after releasing it from the pokeball.

"In fact I'm still pretty sure Ifrit's underneath my bed." She gave a slight chuckle before nodding toward Ken's Caterpie. "And that's yours I'm assuming? What's it called?"

Ken smiled faintly. "I'm sure. I would be a little...um...surprised too seeing something like that. Our Digimon tended to get bigger when they evolved into something stronger. I bet your Pokemon is pretty strong, just going by that." he said lightly.

Her question this time was easier to answer. Ken moved to rub the top of Caterpie's head, making the thing wiggle happily. "I guess it's Caterpie...I mean that's all he can say. He looks kind of like Wormmon does."

"The device..." She pulled out the pokedex, showing it to Ken. "Said it was the last in its evolution line, so I suppose that would be correct. Monsters in my world are a little bit different....They grow more like a regular cat or a dog would."

The woman a small fond smile at the other, though it disappeared quickly. "They all seem to do that, strangely enough." She added to his words, before finally resting his gaze on his grocery bags and asking. "Ah, do you need a hand Ken?"

Ken noted the Pokedex and nodded. "That would make sense I guess. Digimon were made from computer data..so all it took for them to get stronger was to access more data and the energy to use it, and that was where me and Hikari-chan and Daisuke, and the other Chosen Children came in. But...I don't think these guys work quite the same way," he said lightly.

As if on command, as soon as Cissnei mentioned the grocery bags, a few pre-wrapped sandwiches tipped out. Ken noticed and was forced into the long process of trying to set down everything. "I wouldn't want to trouble you if you're doing something else, Cissnei-san," he said as politely as he could, all while trying to collect the dropped items. "I just..I didn't know what these things eat, and I know Wormmon and the other Digimon loved junk food, so I figured I would stock up. With...a lot of stuff."

Amusing little moment of fate there, Cissnei moved down to help the other pick up his things and stuck them back in the bags, reaching and taking one of them before he could protest. "I've got time." she reassured the boy with a light tone, eyes momentarily flicking to look inside the bag. "I actually didn't think about what they would eat. You'll have to tell me if it works."

A smile crossed her face and the woman turned her head away for a moment looking over at Pidgeot who was, at the moment, behaving himself. "Where are you put up now, by the way?" She knew, of course, but no need to come off as stalkerish to the boy.

Ken smiled faintly. "I will. It's too bad...my friend Miyako's family owned a convenience store, and we could always get discounts, even with hungry digimon to feed. This will be a bit harder," he admitted. He glanced at Pigeot and shrugged. "With him...he is a bird. I bet he might eat seeds..or maybe something bigger. Maybe walnuts?"

Her question surprised him, as his mind had drifted off to the problem of feeding Pokemon. "Oh! Right. I'm in the first apartment building, with America-san. The one who...yells a lot about being a hero," he said awkwardly. "It's not too far."

"I'll have to try that," She commented, interrupted by a happy call from Pidgeot from behind her. The woman looked over her shoulder and a smile pulled at her lips. "He seems to like the idea at least."

And at the mention of where he lived, Cissnei shrugged a motion to the boy as she started walking, letting Pidgeot take off to the sky and go where he pleased for now. "Oh. Him." Well, there were stranger beings about...although it probably didn't seem like it to Ken, having to live with one. "Hopefully he's not too...excitable for a roommate."

Ken couldn't help but smile at the bird's cry. "I guess so," he replied, a hint of a laugh in his voice.

"But yeah....America-san is, mm, different. He's very loud," Ken said, trying to stay as polite as he could as he collected his grocery bags and followed Cissnei. It wasn't like his roommate wasn't nice, he was just...startling. And for a boy who was used to a quiet studious environment, the effect was a bit jarring. "Mm..Cissnei-san, if you've heard of him...do you really think he's a country? Daisuke thinks he's crazy, and I can't help but agree with him a little bit."

It wasn't that she hadn't heard of him...More like Cissnei didn't pay attention to him. A madman's rantings, after all, were no more than that. "I can't really say Ken. I don't know much about Earth or America, so..." She trailed off, looking for the right words.

"But being a country in itself is certainly strange. We've seen just about as much weirdness here that it might not be so out of place." She shrugged, gaze flicking to the Apartment building ahead.
