He knew. As soon as he saw his Heart's reaction to the death of the human, he knew his Heart was coming to hunt him, kill him, remove him. Oh Anti knew that as soon as he feasted on a human heart, he would be destroyed. It's how things worked. If you behaved you were feared but allowed to live. If you feasted you were despised and demolished. Anti was annoyed that it wasn't even a good meal. He wondered if his Heart would even regret killing him. Not likely, after all, he was a heartless. Keybladers and Heartless weren't meant to get along.

Gazing out from the darkness he watched as smaller heartless and weaker heartless started to gather at the strength of Sora's heart. His heart. No that wasn't acceptable. The smaller heartless and nobodies were not to be involved in this. Anti-Sora shifted into the shadows before rising up from Sora's own shadow. Poetic. It would have been so easy to just slam his claw through Sora's chest and rip out his heart right then and there. Anti-Sora was a deadly predator. His movements ( ... )

Sora turned in his spot to face his Heartless. His blue eyes narrowed and now standing before Anti he knew he must be doing the right thing. The Heartless couldn't be allowed to live not after what he'd done. He had thought that perhaps Anti was able to live perfectly well off the animals and monsters in the forest and though it created heartless at least the shadow had stayed away from humans. But after what had just happened...Apparently he'd been wrong ( ... )

Anti watched Sora's eyes narrow. Contempt. Hatred. Fear. Worry. Such dark emotions. Emotions Anti was intimate with. Oh a heartless knew well those dark emotions. After all, fear was directed at them from the moment a heartless formed. So that his Heart looked at him with the intent to kill... such a fact would not hurt Anti. It could not hurt him. Keybladers killed Heartless. He was a heartless. Why would Sora be any different in the treatment of Heartless>

His Heart was many things. Kind, strong, caring, brave. Yes, Sora was many things - good or bad. But of the many things that Sora was, his heart was not faster than Anti. In that aspect, Anti had a a larger advantage ( ... )

Sora turned barely in time his eyes flashing wide as he jumped away from Anti. It had been a long time since he'd fought his heartless and he'd forgotten how fast he was. Uninhibited and animalistic Anti wouldn't be stopped by normal human weakness. He jumped back towards Anti swinging his keyblade from left to right in an ark aimed straight for Anti's chest. Sora tried to let go of his on inhibitions. He tried not to think about what he was doing and how for the briefest moments he'd thought Anti might actually be somewhat of a friend.

That was stupid wasn't it? A Keybearer, friends with a heartless? It was more probably for a fish and a bird to live together in one environment than for those two to co-exist. From the moment Sora landed on this island his first job should have been to get rid of Anti, the anomaly that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Instead, he'd let him live, and now that anomaly had killed someone. Sora was going to fix this.

No matter what.

It was interesting fighting against Sora rather than with him, merged with him. When he fought with Sora, his claw was Sora's claw. The damage he experienced lingered on Sora's body, not his. But they had not always been merged. He could still remember his first battle against his heart. Having been created because of his father's jealousy and hatred ( ... )

"Agh!" Sora hissed as he felt Anti's claws rake down his right arm. He jumped away to a decently safe distance and looked down at himself. There was a dark smoke rising from the cuts as if they'd been burned, but still blood ran down Sora's arm. He looked over to Anti eyes narrowed; his chest rose slowly as he caught his breath. He hadn't expected it to be this hard fighting his heartless. He'd managed to beat the shadow of Anti and Sora once when Riku had made him, but when the two had been one...He'd taken for granted how much stronger Anti had made him. It was no wonder Riku would call upon the darkness within him to fight, the darkness offered so much more ( ... )

The smell of Sora's blood was sweet. Better than sweet. It was addicting. And he grinned at the... tantalizing teasing meal to come. Anti-Sora had always adored his Heart. He had cherished him as much as a heartless could. Had obeyed him as much as a creature of darkness could obey a creature of light. Which wasn't very much but Anti at least tried. For months he had feasted on monsters and animals in the forest. For months the measly meal that were the average hearts of animals and monsters had been his sustenance. Even when his brethren overran the island and feasted on the humans he had still not partaken. But one human heart and that was all destroyed ( ... )

The plan worked. Sora made a gasping noise as he felt the darkness hit his cheek the sensation something akin to a shock. He flipped away from Anti and landed not too far away. He didn't have time to rub his cheek which now felt as if it was tingling; instead, he dropped down into a defensive position waiting to parry Anti's next attack ( ... )

He watched Sora carefully and merely remained calm. Even as he could smell the blood and how it teased him, even as he watched Sora go into the defense position he felt nothing. When he had been merged with Sora he could remember that his Heart would sometimes feel smug, or worried. Anti also knew that his father sometimes felt amused or annoyed in battle (against his heart or in general). But Anti-Sora couldn't really feel amusement or smugness at anything his Heart did in their fight. He couldn't really feel anything of course but he did remember the emotions Sora felt. But while Anti-Sora couldn't feel emotions of the heart or mind, he did feel emotions of the body ( ... )

Sora's eyes narrowed as he saw his heartless rush at him. He could barely track the dark creatures movements. No doubt the many shadows cast by the trees against the light helped his other and hindered Sora. He blocked the strike with his right arm; he didn't have time to raise his left to strike with the second keyblade. A searing pain ran down his arm from the deep scratch that Anti had given him earlier in the fight and his arm buckled. He grunted as he felt his back hit the forest floor and he cursed.

Sora couldn't know Anti's thoughts but he could and did know that being downed by a Heartless was by no means safe, and here in this world there was no Donald or Goofy to save him. He hadn't told anyone here what he was doing or where he was going so if he died here presumably no one would know. The thought had Sora's mind racing, in a split second he tucked his knees up to his chest and kicked meaning to push Anti off and away from him with a swift kick to the chest.

When Sora went down onto the ground, Anti-Sora's predator mind went into full attack. He wasted no time before pouncing on him. Claws ready to dig in and feast. He wouldn't use his keyblade - Sora's keyblade for this. This would be done purely as a heartless. His claws made to slam down through Sora's chest. His claws were just digging into Sora's skin. He could smell his blood. He could smell his sweat. He could smell his fear. All of it was a delicious aroma to the meal he had longed for. He could feel the pound-bang-pounding of Sora's heart. It was there for him to take, for him to consume. He would feel ultimate love and joy once more in it's purest form. It was there, beneath his claws. He sunk his claw deeper. He could hear the sound of cloth shredding and skin tearing. Skin that got in the way of what he most desired.

Before he could get anymore than the tips of his claws in, Sora sent him flying. His back slammed into a tree, a loud crack filling the air. He rolled onto the forest floor and hissed in pain ( ... )

Wasting no time, Sora spun himself so he was back on his feet. He let one of his keyblades drop as his hand shot to his chest where his shirt was ripped and blood was already flowing down. He panted, wincing through the searing pain as Anti's claws had been literally ripped out of him. He brought his hand away and stared at the crimson red blood. He dropped his guard for that precious second that would no doubt cost him.

The red of his blood was so bright even in the dim forest lighting. He'd never gotten that close to having his heart ripped out by a heartless and a small, very small, part of him was proud of Anti for having come that close to besting him. Anti was after all Sora's heartless. His gaze shot away from his hand and back up towards Anti even as he brought the second keyblade back into existance. Fighting the heartless with anything less was a death wish.

The smell of Sora's blood was heady to Anti-Sora. And while he saw his heart summon another keyblade he put Oblivion back in his mouth before running at Sora as fast as he could on all fours. Sora's arm and chest were injured. And while Anti's spine screamed in pain while he moved, he had continued fighting monsters for his meal. Every day he fought and hunted. He continued to run on all fours. Unaware he was slower from the pain in his spine. He took the keyblade and swiped at Sora's feet ( ... )

Sora steeled himself as Anti ran towards him. As the heartless clawed at Anti's feet Sora jumped away keeping his keyblades close to his chest in case his heartless decided to try and go for him again.

There was no way Sora was going to let Anti win. He was the Keyblade Master and regardless if this was his own heartless or not he wasn't going to let Anti get the better of him. When Anti's arm reached out to dissect Sora, the brunette swung his right hand and blocked Anti's arm. The pain screamed through the limb but Sora pushed the pain back as he plunged the second keyblade straight towards Anti's chest where the creatures heart should have been.

He felt pain. If there was anything that could hurt a heartless, it was a keyblade. He felt it tear through him and he dropped Oblivion. The keyblade disappeared before it touched the ground. And Anti-Sora gazed wide-eyed at the blade and he slowly closed his eyes. It was meant to be like this. This was the order of the world. Sora was meant to destroy the darkness. He hissed as he moved and shifted, even whimpering as pain continued to spread throughout his body ( ... )

Sora watched as Anti started to fade away into oblivion. His sea blue eyes seemed darker than usual as the emotions Sora was feeling were anything short of joy. His heart ached as if it new a part of him was disappearing. He didn't reach out to touch Anti though he longed too if only to somehow comfort the heartless that where ever he was going everything would somehow be okay ( ... )
