He could smell the blood. The sweet scent that ran through Sora's veins. He wanted the organ that pumped that blood. He wanted that more than he cared about anything else. Now that he was here, fighting against Sora, fighting for his life, he refused to behave. He refused to play fair. You didn't play fair when your life was in danger. Sora's life was in danger. As was his own. If Sora won then Anti-Sora would merely be dead and his Heart could go on fighting heartless and protecting the worlds from the darkness. If Anti-Sora won... his eyes narrowed and he suddenly followed up his swipe at Sora's feet with a jump trying to move his claw back into Sora's chest.

There was no way Sora was going to let Anti win. He was the Keyblade Master and regardless if this was his own heartless or not he wasn't going to let Anti get the better of him. When Anti's arm reached out to dissect Sora, the brunette swung his right hand and blocked Anti's arm. The pain screamed through the limb but Sora pushed the pain back as he plunged the second keyblade straight towards Anti's chest where the creatures heart should have been.

Anti-Sora reached out with his claw and touched Sora's arm. The blood on his claws smeared on his Heart's skin. A long hiss escaped his lips and he looked up at Sora. Locking eyes glowing yellow to endless blue. He moved his claw again, shaking and he had to pause as the lance of pain seemed to take control. But he moved his claws and touched Sora's cheek. His heart was warm. The light was always warm. The darkness eternally cold. In Sora he had known warmth. In Sora he had known such beautiful emotions. Sora had won.
He was supposed to win.
Anti pulled his claw away and then gripped the shaft of the keyblade. He bowed his head and closed his eyes.
"Ssssooraa...."
The heartless' body seemed to unravel. Like a string off a spool, hundreds of strands of darkness just fell off of him and seeped into the ground. And then he was gone. There wasn't any blood on the keyblade. After all, a heartless did not have blood to bleed with. It was like there hadn't been anything there. No evidence of a battle except on Sora's body. It would be the only testament to their battle. The only proof. It was as it should be. The light defeating the darkness. The heartless had been defeated by his heart. Sora was not the keyblade master for nothing. Anti-Sora knew this. He had... expected it even.

"I'm sorry." Sora said even as he felt a tear travel down his cheek for what should have been no apparent reason. The truth was, Sora didn't want to have had to do what he did. He wished things had turned out differently but in the end Anti was what he always was--a heartless. It was in his nature to feed on the innocent hearts of the people, and those whose hearts shined brightest would always be targets for them. Sora did the right thing, but he felt horrible for it.
As the last bits of Anti floated away, Sora closed his eyes and tilted his head up towards the sky. His right arm was aching horrible as well as the puncture wounds around his chest, yet Sora didn't bother to heal himself. He wanted to feel this pain. If only in his own selfish way, he wanted to feel the slightest echo of what Anti may have felt in that moment.
