so 2006 arrived. it rolled in quicker than imagined...as our countdown was approximately 16 seconds late. but nonetheless, it rolled in and there i stood, surrounded by friends. and the ones who i couldn't be with resonated our shared happiness through the speaker. and my dad said i love you and sounded genuinely happy. and i could hear my sister smiling. this time, however, there was no cloud hanging over me. just stars and smiles. this is what life is about...and this is where i am supposed to be.
