I am presently attempting to write a paper about fan fiction.

Since Fan fiction seems to be very much a social phenomenon - So much an inseparable part of the fandom subculture -  It would be a very incomplete picture of the fan fiction phenomenon you would get by just reading the fan fictions without talking to the actual fans.

( So here be surveys. . . )

This time around I am not going to ask you what your favorite work of fan fiction is, nor am I going to ask you to make a top 10 of fic. or to make a canon of fic. I will probably be asking you to do all those things in other posts. but this time around we are going about it a bit differently because lists of the above mentioned kind stand in risk  ( Read more... )

- In fan fiction in general?
- In Supernatural fan fiction?
- In theoretical texts?

If you recommend a fan fiction text please specify what makes this text stand out in your opinion.
