Hello!

It was a very nice weekend.

Friday, I met Jennifer behind the capital after work. She brought me a diet strawberry limeade (thanks again) and we sat on the wall and chatted. It was nice, because it seems like I hardly get to see her anymore. Smiff.

Anyway, after I got home, we packed Ana up and went to Capitol City Steakhouse for dinner. It was excellent. I hadn't ever been there before, so it was a nice treat. Afterwards, we took Ana for a walk and let her splash a bit in the fountain jets.

Saturday, we went to my parents. My aunt, uncle, and a few cousins were up from Ava, Colorado, and Nebraska. We took a little pool for Ana, so she played in that quite a bit. Mom had a huge fish fry, so that was yummy. We stopped back by to visit with J's mom for a bit, then headed home. We headed home, put her too bed, made some pina coladas and both fell asleep watching The Legend of Zorro. We were zonked.

Sunday, we puttered around. We ran a few errands, went to Columbia (Kohl's is awesome, I can't wait until we get one here in JC). We took her to ride on the carosel at the mall, had Panera for dinner, and headed home. Ana was out, so we put her to bed, had some quality time, and watched Bad Boys.

Yesterday we went in to get some new hose, some flowers, and then went back home. Jason bought Ana this Six Flags Splish Splash water thing, so we let her play in that. After we ate lunch and rested a bit, we all went over to the neighbors. The guys chatted while Tammy, Linda, the kids, and I all lazed around in the pool. Ana was totally knocked out after that and we all took a nap. I made a nice dinner, got her down, and then we watched TV and went to bed early.

It was a great weekend.

Ok, here are a few pictures.

Trial on Ana's b-day cake. This was with pound cake and coconut. I hated the way it turned out.

Here's the second trial. Chocolate cake and buttercream icing. I love how it looked, so I'll be doing this for her b-day.
