On The Road
I'm going to miss y'all, but I'll be heading out for Milwaukee today, where I will visit the largest Irish festival in North America. Thanks you for all your thoughts and good wishes. Don't know how much I'll be able to be online.
There will be 5 large stages as well as smaller venues, including a gaeltecht stage. There is also always a lovely band playing for the dance stage. There is a cultural area with archeology and other insights into irish culture and history. Before all this, there is Summer school at UW. This year, I have to choose between singing and dancing.
Being walking distance from this will allow me to schedule some time alone. My emotions have been much closer to the surface this last week. I hope that I can take care of myself and still be a good guest. I'm thinking that hours and hours of dancing will be a good thing.
Irish Fest rocked! It would have been good to be two of me. I stayed in the dance tent. I know there was other stuff I wanted to see, but in order to draw in more folks to set dancing, the experienced dancers need to show up for classes. It also helps it get into our braaiins.
