The state of me

I keep posting statuses on Facebook but I don't remember to update lj. So here I am, and with good news! Andrew has finally been made permanent at work so we will now be moving officially to Newbury. This makes me very happy because then I will be able to say that I have lived in all four quarters of England! It also means that I will get to stay with my new Brownie pack, that the job interview I have next week is worth preparing very well for and that if I get an interview as a tourism assistant I will be very happy!

It also means I'm house-hunting, which I'm not enjoying so much, but at least we may well get our belongings out of storage in the next few weeks and I'll get my DVDs and books back - hurrah! And we will now be at least an hour closer to my Dad and Stepmum as we will no longer need to navigate the M25, aka the circular car park.

At the end of May we are going on holiday to Scotland - for three weeks! We have one week making our way to Inverness via Dad and Joan and other interesting spots, a week on the Caledonian canal with Andrew's parents (assuming their aeroplane stays in the sky) and a week visiting the castle that is always on shortbread tins, the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Mull. I can't wait to be on our way!

I have also just completed about 88 hours' of work over two and a half weeks at my country park and will be getting my pay cheque about four days before we go on holiday - how's that for timing?!

And the sun is still shining and I haven't managed to collect any ash samples yet - however there's still time...

42, job
