Not a meme - a job!
I've just remembered that I also have job news (at long bloody last). Yesterday I was booked to work a few hours at the country park. I found this odd as they have weekend staff and four hours in the middle of the day isn't really much use to anyone. When I got there I was offered a casual contract for the summer as the park 'Gopher'. I tried it out yesterday, restocking ice creams, clearing cafe tables, wandering around replacing misprinted posters and covering the shop for lunchbreaks, and needless to say I'm pretty certain that I'm going to take it. This is good for at least two reasons: money fairly regularly for 3-4 months and company while Andrew is away. Unfortunately it means working weekends, but see previous re: money. Also it means I get to spend the summer working at the park. Yay! Andrew has agreed that it's a good idea to take it and the added bonus is that by September we'll probably know whether we need to move to the other side of the world of London or not.
Of course the irony is that last week I also applied for two proper permanent jobs too, but now when I don't get an interview I'll be less disappointed!
