He slowered his pace as he arrived in front of the greenroom, building his courage to face another day as he held the doorknob tightly in his hand. Sighing heavily, he opened the door and walked in slowly, only to be welcomed by four cheerful faces grinning at him.
"Good morning Riida!" Sho greeted while raising his hand slightly, followed by Aiba and Jun in a perfect sync.
"Good morning Riida!"
"Good morning Oh-chan!" Nino's face appeared to his sight, giving him a light kiss on his cheek as usual.
Ohno was about to smile when the gamer retreated and returned to his previous seat, beside Sho.
As usual.
Letting out a small sigh, he mouthed a 'good morning' towards Aiba and Jun who were still looking, before continuing his steps to his favourite couch. He slumped there, taking out a fishing magazine and reclined on the couch, totally oblivious with the youngest member's sharp eyes.
Later he heard Nino laughed in amused together with the newscaster, and he couldn't help but to feel his heart cringed at those sight.
He hated it that Nino no longer spent most of his time with him on this couch, he hated it that the gamer no longer used his lap as his pillow whenever he was in a battle in his DS, he hated it that Nino was no longer clung to him, mumbled anything and everything only to him.
He hated it that the situation was no longer the same like before without him knowing the real reasons why. And he hated seeing the gamer being talkative all the way to the other members but only gave him a greetings each and every day.
Letting the magazine slipped from his fingers and fell on top of his face, Ohno shut his eyes tightly, trying to lessen the pain that seemed to pile up in his heart.
Another painful day has started.
-----
"Riida! We would like to go drinking tonight, what say you?" Aiba tapped the older man's shoulder gently, flashing him an inviting smile.
Ohno looked around, until his eyes met Nino's face. The gamer was talking jauntily to Sho, with his arm wrapped around the newscaster's arm. He sighed heavily, before turning to look at the animal lover.
"I'm sorry Aiba-chan.. I've got works to do.." he forced a bitter smile, gathering all his stuff and shove them inside his bag.
"Eh~? Riida.. You're no fun lately.." Aiba pouted, slumping on the couch. "Jun-chan~" he tugged the youngest man's sleeve forcefully, seeking for help to persuade their leader.
Jun looked up once, but giving up after meeting Ohno's teary eyes. Smiling persuasively at the animal lover, he wrapped his arm around Aiba's shoulder gently.
"It's okay, Aiba-chan.. Riida can join us next time.." he patted the pouting man's shoulder several times before turning to look at Ohno. "Right Riida?" he smiled understandingly.
The older man just nodded, sliding his bag up to his shoulder. "Have fun tonight.." he uttered low while glancing at Nino, before dashing out of the room.
The gamer's eyes followed Ohno's steps secretly, and he slowly letting out a small sigh. Guilt started to creep inside his heart, but he couldn't bring himself to chase after the older man.
"Riida hasn't been joining us lately, is he okay?" Sho said abruptly, catching the other members' attention.
"Who knows," Jun answered half-heartily as he stood up. "Let's go.." he reached for Aiba's wrist and dragged him along with him out of the room.
Nino just nodded, slowly taking his bag and walked as Sho motioned him to do so.
-----
Ohno sat hugging his knees under shower, letting cold water pouring over him. His heart hurt so much, to think that Nino was driven further and further from him as each second passed. He felt guilty turning down Aiba's invitation almost every time, but he didn't think he could stand seeing Nino being so closed to Sho. Jealousy would keep on engulfing his heart, and he didn't want to end up hating the newscaster later. As much as he loved Nino, he loved Arashi more and for that he didn't willing to see his group tore apart because of his stupid feeling.
Ohno was getting confused and confused on what to do. He was sure that Jun somehow could sort out what actually happened to him, but he just couldn't talk to the youngest man about it. He was afraid if he started to talk about it, it would spread until it reached Nino.
He was afraid of rejection.
No, he wasn't ready for that.
-----
Ohno stood still in front of the water machine, totally drown in his own thought. He never felt this tired while recording VS Arashi, but that day, it hadn't end yet but he already felt as if his whole energy has been sucked out from his body. He knew he wasn't tired because of playing (because apparently he hasn't play anything), or removing and preparing the set, but probably because he faked a smile too much. He was tired at laughing, pretending like nothing happened at the sight of Sho hugging Nino by his shoulder or at the sight of Sho keeping Nino by his side all the time.
Biting his lower lips slowly, he tried to chase away those thought as he put in a few amount of coins into the hole. His finger stopped halfway as a slim finger made its way towards the buttons, making a choice and the can popped out from the bottom hole.
"Thank you, Oh-chan! You are so nice, as usual.." Nino grinned, taking the can of his favourite drink and snapped it open gleefully.
Ohno faked a regretful sigh. "It's you again.." he shook his head, caused the gamer to laugh.
"You know I love making you spent your money on me.." the gamer stated naughtily, gulping down his drink in satisfaction.
"Yeah, right.." Ohno rolled his eyes, putting another coins into the hole and made his choice.
Both of them settled on the nearest steel chair, enjoying their drinks. Ohno couldn't help but to smile widely with the gamer's company, which he had been longing for it for some times.
"Speaking of which, you haven't play any game, have you?" the older man asked.
Nino nodded, shrugging. "Just being Aiba-chan's supporter during Pinball Runner.."
"Yeah, with Jun.." the older man nodded. "If you don't mind, what if we play-"
"Nino!"
..together in Cliff Climb?
His voice seemed to stuck at his throat as Sho's voice cut him off. He turned around, only to catch a sight of the newscaster running towards their direction.
"Want to play Jumping shooter with me? They have prepared the set.." Sho spoke up as he stopped in front of them.
Nino glanced at the gloomy face next to him, flashing him a smile. "What did you say again, Oh-chan?" he asked softly.
Ohno quickly shook his head, forcing a smile in return. "Nothing.. Maybe next time.." he replied reassuringly.
"Are you sure?" Nino emphasized one more time, but ended up feeling slightly frustrated as the older man nodded.
"If that so, then I'm going with Sho-chan.." the gamer said low, getting onto his feet and followed Sho who then caught his wrist so they could rush towards the set.
Ohno leaned against the wall, keeping his gaze at his feet as the two members' figure varnished from his sight. Grasping his drinking can tightly, he tried to fight his tears from rushing down his cheeks. No, not at this time. He still needed to go back to the studio, he still needed to face Nino, Sho and everyone.
'Be strong, Satoshi..' he squeezed his eyes hard, trying to reduce the stinging pain in his heart.
"Riida?" Jun's voice made him snapped his eyes opened, eyeing the youngest man with a quizzical look.
Jun scratched his back hair slightly, contemplating in his mind. "Well.. I'm thinking about doing Cliff Climb, want to do it together with me?" he asked hesitantly, ignoring the shock look in his leader's eyes.
"Ah, it's okay if you don't want to do it.." he added nervously, rubbing both his palms against each other.
"Sounds good, Jun-kun! Let's do our best alright?" Ohno suddenly stood up, faking an excited smile and patted the youngest man softly on his shoulder before striding towards the studio.
Jun sighed before following the older man's pace. Dealing with an actor's emotion is indeed hard, he mused as he recalled what he heard on his way back from the restroom just now.
Ohno, Nino and Sho, huh?
-----
The five of them stood nervously on the MDA's stage, laughing at themselves for their super-low points. Ohno kept his head lowered down, couldn't help but to blame himself for their lost. He earned the lowest point for Cliff Climb, just because he felt distracted at the sight of Sho and Nino teasing each other happily at their seat. He failed at catching the grip from Aiba countless time, caused the time to run in waste and Jun didn't even get his turn.
"How should we decide this?" Sho suddenly said, still in his remaining laugh.
"Let's recall the whole game.." Aiba grinned, crossing his arms to his chest. "I did quite well during Pinball Runner, Sho-chan and Nino-chan succeed in making us lead during Jumping Shooter.. But Cliff Climb..." he trailed off, chuckling.
"Riida right? And MatsuJun didn't even get his turn.." Nino added, pointing at the two said men.
Ohno forced a laugh as the three of them already decided on him, kneeling down while covering his face with his palms.
"Seems like I'm the worst, am I?" he stood up, smiling and shut his eyes, readied himself to fall down.
"Wait, wait! Compare to Riida, didn't I was even worse? I didn't do anything today, other than supporting Aiba-chan.." Jun interjected, pointing at himself.
"But you didn't do that on purpose.." Sho responded, trying to sound logical and the other three nodded agreeably.
Jun shook his head, throwing a just-agree-with-me look while laughing. "No, look.. I didn't contribute even one point okay?" he insisted, hands on his hip.
At the end they decided on Jun, and he fall down while screaming "I'm the worst member!" out loud happily, which no one ever did before this.
-----
"Jun!" Ohno shouted, running after the younger man.
Jun just stood still at his spot, waiting for his leader to stop in front of him. "What is it, Riida?" he raised one eyebrow at the panting man.
"Just.." Ohno inhaled, stable his breath. "Just now, why did you do that? I'm supposed to fall, everyone knows.."
The younger man shrugged, lips curved into a meaningful smile. "Just feel like doing so.." he started to walk. "It has been such a long time since I last fell, don't you think so?" he added while winking smugly, earning a smack from the older man on his shoulder.
"Don't get too carried away, you brat.." Ohno rolled his eyes, walking side by side with the younger man, who was smiling now.
"But thanks, by the way.." the leader uttered earnestly, glancing at his group member.
Jun nodded slowly, and Ohno took it as an acceptation. They padded in a comfortable silent, neither Jun or him blurted out a word until they stopped in front of the younger man's car.
"Don't keep it to yourself, Riida.. If you don't say it, Nino won't know, and Sho won't understand.." Jun said as he got in the car, and strolled down the window. "Make it fast before it already too late.." he added before the car accelerating, leaving the older man alone in front of the building.
Ohno stood still, hanging his head down weakly as he lost sight of Jun's car. 'So he did know..' he mused in his heart. Slowly he turned around, walking half-heartedly towards the direction of his home.
"It's easier said than done," the older man talked to himself, sighing heavily later on.
-----
He was just finished taking his bath when his apartment's bell rang, indicating a comer. With just a tower covering his lower part, Ohno walked towards the door slowly, opening it without thinking twice.
He blinked several times at the unexpected comer, before he came to realize that he exposed too much as he saw the other man's cheeks already turned pink. Nino quickly looked away from the half-naked man, smacking his own head mentally for all the dirty thinking.
"Ah I'm sorry! Come in first, I'm going to put my clothes on.." Ohno stuttered, opening the door wider to give enough space for the younger man to get inside.
He left the door to Nino and quickly tip-toed to his bedroom, thinking how silly he was to go open the door without dressing properly. Luckily it was Nino, who already getting used seeing his body. He couldn't imagine if the comer is a woman, add to the fact that he doesn't know her. Gosh.. That was embarrassing!
Nino settled himself on the couch as the older man's figure varnished from his sight. He palmed his chest, trying to calm his heart that was pounding crazily as Ohno's half-naked figure crossed his mind. His wet hair and a few drops of water sliding down his neck made him looked even hotter, and Nino swore he almost lost his control if not because the older man's weird behaviour lately came knocking his mind. That was his main purpose of coming, anyways.
Ohno showed up a few minutes later, sign of shyness still could be seen clearly on his face as he fixed his hair lazily using his fingers. Still, Nino found that his leader was sexy even with his wet, messy hair. Ohno put a glass of juice on the table, before sitting on the couch next to the gamer.
"I'm sorry for showing up like that.. I, uh.." he laughed sheepishly, scratching his back hair. "I don't know what was on my mind.."
"Blank, I could tell.." Nino retorted. "What ever it is, don't go open the door when you have no cloth on.." he babbling, frowning slightly. "You are lucky because it was me.. If it was a raper, then you are done for,"
Ohno rolled his eyes. "Rapers chase after women, Nino.."
"You looked like a woman to me though," the younger man smirked.
"You!-"
"Joking!" Nino rolled his eyes in boredom. "You are no fun lately, Oh-chan, seriously.." he commented, sighing low.
"Am I?"
"Obviously," Nino replied, widening his eyes. "Do you have any problem? Hey I told you, if you ever dare to keep your problem all to yourself, I swear you are going to get it from me," he added firmly, ogling the sleepy, calming eyes.
Ohno forced a smile, bringing his eyes down to his fingers on his lap.
"If my problem is you, then there's no way I'm going to talk to you about that, am I making some sense here?" he spoke slowly.
Nino's face changed. "What.. What did I do..?" his tone lowered down, voice cracking a bit.
Ohno's body jerked up slightly, realizing that he already blurt out something unnecessary. Lifting his head, his eyes met the younger man's teary eyes, and he quickly flashed a wide smile. He got up and smacked Nino softly at his head, forcing a big laugh.
"Of course I'm joking, you silly! Like hell you will be my problem!" he squeaked teasingly, and the gamer quickly wiped dry the puddle in his eyes.
"Oh-chan you scare me!" he whined, throwing the small cushion towards the leader.
Ohno chuckled, putting the cushion on the couch before getting onto his feet and stretching his arms. "Drink up. And don't forget to wash the glass." he reminded as he padded towards his bedroom.
Nino just smiled as the older man left. He drank his juice in one go, and quickly got up to go to the kitchen.
"Oh-chan!!" he screamed as Ohno's figure appeared out of nowhere behind him, with his expressionless face. "You don't have a heart attack, am I right?" the older man asked flatly.
"I won't be standing still if I did, silly!" Nino retorted almost angrily. "I thought you are going to sleep.." he stated, with his so-why-are-you-here look.
Ohno replied with a puppy look. "Just want to confirm one thing," he cleared his throat, and Nino gave him a quizzical look.
"You are staying, right?"
Silence filled up their surrounding before the younger man broke it with a chuckle.
"Of course I am!" he replied reassuringly.
Ohno looked down, fidgeting with his fingers. "You are not going over Sho's?"
"You're making no sense here, Oh-chan.." Nino rolled his eyes. "Go to sleep first, I'll come in later.." he added as he took the glass in his hand.
The older man shook his head. "I'm joking. I'll wash it tomorrow.. Let's just go to sleep for now.." he uttered low, almost begging and the gamer couldn't bring himself to say no.
"Fine.." he smiled gently and put the glass back on the table, letting Ohno to pull him by his wrist.
And later in the middle of the night, Nino found himself awaken by the familiar voice, sleep-talking.
"I missed you so much, Nino.."
-----
Jun was a bit flabbergasted on the next day as he saw his leader and Nino walked together into their greenroom, nevertheless he didn't intend to say anything that would ruin the good atmosphere around them. At the end he just shrugged when Sho grabbed the gamer's wrist and dragged him towards the couch, leaving Ohno in puzzlement at the unexpected outcome. He gave the older man an encouraging look and Ohno padded towards his usual couch before reclining there.
"Jun-chan~" Aiba whined as he felt the younger man's caress on his hair halted, and Jun quickly continued his task until the animal lover was drifted to a deep slumber back.
"Just what did you guys do last night? Aiba-chan rarely sleep in the morning.." Nino said teasingly, earning a snort from the DoS prince.
"Shut up, brat!" he said firmly in a low voice, carefully not to wake the person on his lap up.
Nino just laughed, before shifting his gaze towards Sho's laptop. Sho sure had him a lot of works to do, but he knew perfectly how to pay him back.
"I'm thinking of buying this latest game, as a gratitude to you for helping me with my rap lyrics.. What say you?" the newscaster asked while smiling widely.
Nino grinned. "You know me, Sho-chan.."
"I take it as a yes then.." Sho smiled in satisfaction.
Ohno turned to look at the pair that was not too far away from him, frowning slightly before focusing his sight back on his cell phone, browsing the fishing website.
'I take it as a yes then..' Sho's words came to his mind.
What was that means? Yes for what? Did Sho asked Nino for a date? His heart started to beat hastily at his own thought.
"Make it fast before it already too late.."
Jun's words then crossed his mind. Am I already too late?
He flipped closed his cell phone, losing interest on fishing as he felt uneasiness started to take over his heart. The thought of losing Nino forever scared him so much, and he couldn't imagine if he needed to accept the fact that Nino is belonged to Sho.
Ohno reached for his bag and used it to cover his face, silently sniffling beneath it. He didn't afford to lose Nino, he couldn't imagine living without him. Not at all!
-----
Ohno was awaken by the loud noise around him, and he rubbed his slightly swollen eyes to adjust his sight. Aiba was running around the room with Sho chasing after him, and Jun's attention quickly shifted to his leader as he noticed the older man got into sitting position.
"Jun, what happened?" he asked, clearing his throat to fix his crack voice.
"Aiba-chan found something interesting from Sho's bag," Jun grinned, pointing at two small, thin papers at the edge of the animal lover's finger.
Ohno narrowed his eyes, looking at the two pieces of paper sharply. His eyes widened in total shock as he finally recognized the things.
Is it..
"Jun.." his voice almost inaudible, but still clear to the youngest man's ears.
"Two tickets, midnight movie, love story, tomorrow. A DATE," he replied in amused, emphasizing his last word and the older man gaped incredulously.
"Aiba-chan~ give it back.. What if you misplace it?" Sho finally gave up, slumping on the floor wearily.
The animal lover knelt beside the newscaster, grinning mischievously. "Then tell me, who are you going to the movie with?" he asked, waving the tickets in front of Sho and quickly took it back as the newscaster tried to snatch them from him.
"Tell me, Sho-chan~" Aiba singsong, eyeing the tickets.
"Nin-Nino okay? Yeah, Nino.." Sho answered while panting, wiping sweat at his forehead.
Ohno turned his head at the the newscaster, eyes widening. Did he just said...Nino? His eyes roamed around the room, but couldn't catch a glimpse of the gamer's figure.
"Nino?" Aiba shouted. "Since when are you two going out?"
Sho waved his hand, denying his friend's words. "Not yet.. I'm thinking of asking him tomorrow.. Please keep your mouth shut until then, okay? This is a surprise.." the newscaster snatched the tickets in a swift move, ignoring Aiba who started hopping around gleefully.
"Jun-chan~ Sho-chan and Nino-chan are going to be together~" he singsong, kissing the youngest man on his cheek.
Jun just grinned, nevertheless his eyes never left Ohno's face.
"Riida~ Sho-chan and Nino-chan are going to be together~" Aiba then poked the older man on his rib, and Ohno jerked up a bit before throwing a forceful smile.
At that time he knew, that he was already too late. He was too late to win Nino's heart.
-----
Ohno spent the whole night crying, thinking how careless he was until Nino slipped from his grasp. And to make it more unfortunate, he lost Nino to one of his band mate, the one and only Sakurai Sho.
If and only if he had even tiny courage, he would've ask the gamer to go out with him so that he didn't have to end up in regret like this. He swore if he got just one more chance, he would tell Nino clearly how he felt. He swore!
Ohno fell asleep when the clock already showed four in the morning, having his whole pillow getting wet by his tears.
And one thing for sure, he didn't want to face tomorrow.
-----
"It's already ten o'clock, where is he?" the first man said in worry, checking his watch.
"Sho-chan, make sure you make it suuuper sweet!" the second man giggled.
"Do you think he will come today? He was heartbroken, you know.." the third man sighed at the thought of Ohno's gloomy face.
"I'm agree with Jun.. Riida won't come.." the first man shrugged, giving up.
"Eh? Nino? Nino are you okay?" the second man was slightly confused with the gamer's unexpected silence.
Nino gritted his teeth, getting onto his feet in exasperation. "This helpless, clueless, stubborn old man! I've had it enough!"
The three of them squeezed their eyes tightly as Nino dashed out of the room, slamming the door hard.
-----
Ohno sniffled a bit, padding slowly towards the door as he heard the bell rang. He fixed his towel around his lower part, opening the door and was slightly taken aback at the sight of Nino's face.
"Ni-Nino? Wh-Why are you coming?" he stuttered, totally didn't expect him coming.
"Why aren't YOU coming today?" the gamer returned the question firmly, taking a few steps forward.
Ohno retreated slowly, scratching his back head nervously while averting the gamer's eyes. "I, uh.. I'm not feeling well.." he answered hesitantly, kept on stepping backwards as Nino moved forward.
"I.. I heard about Sho.." Ohno glanced at the younger man, and quickly brought his eyes down as he noticed anger in Nino's eyes. "Congratulation.."
"Just what did you heard actually?" Nino pushed the older man softly, caused him to slump on the couch. He quickly trapped Ohno in between his arms when the leader tried to get up.
"About you.. And him.."
Nino frowned. "What about me and him?"
"You have a date tonight!" Ohno cried, punching the gamer slowly on his chest. "I hate it! I don't want to see him asking you out! That's why I'm not coming today! I hate to know that you're his because I love you!" he blurted out one after another, almost shouting. Tears escaped from his eyes for the umpteenth time, but he didn't feel like wiping them away. He silently hoped for a miracle to happen, but he knew better that it was impossible.
"Oh-chan.." Nino called slowly, totally dumbfounded at the sight of his leader crying.
"You accepted Sho, right?" Ohno asked with his small voice, staring at the younger man with his teary eyes.
Nino froze for a while, before finally shaking his head. "What is there to be accepted if there's no request?" he wiped away the older man's tears gently. "Even if he did, I won't accept him, that's for sure Oh-chan.."
Ohno sniffled, parrying the gamer's finger away from his face. "Wh-why?"
Nino smiled lovingly. "Because the one and only person that I love is Ohno Satoshi, and I won't say yes to any but his proposal.." he replied softly, caressing Ohno's face.
"You.." Ohno sniffled. "You lied!" he shouted stubbornly. "Then what about the tickets? I took a good look at it, it was real! Sho-kun won't buy it just for a waste!" he stared at the younger man, who just laughed.
"That's belong to Jun-kun and Aiba-chan, okay? Sho-kun borrowed it from them, just to make you, a super slow old man jealous! Am I making everything clear?" he pinched the chubby cheek gently.
"Just why on earth Jun and Aiba-chan will go watching a movie together?"
Nino frowned slightly. "They have been together for two months, for god sake! Oh-chan, you sure didn't pay attention to your surroundings.."
"Then what about you and Sho-kun being all lovey-dovey towards each other?" Ohno asked again, still sniffling.
"It was an act, okay? At first I just want you to make a move on me, but who would've expect that you are so slow until Sho-kun and the rest figure it out.. He flirted with me on purpose, but honestly we were just faking a laugh. Sometimes we didn't even talk about anything, but just laughed at the end to see your reaction.." he explained, slightly impatient with the older man's unexpected stubbornness.
"Then what about-"
Nino quickly leaned closer to the older man, pressing his lips forcefully against Ohno's. "You asked too much, Satoshi.. I can't hold it anymore.." he whispered as they broke the kiss, and he pushed the leader softly so that he was laying flatly on the couch.
"And I think I did remind you not to open the door when you are not properly dressed, didn't I?"
-----
Nino lifted his head from his DS when the door opened, exposing Jun, Aiba and Sho's face.
"Good morning Nino," the three of them greeting simultaneously, and the gamer quickly signalling them to lower their voice.
Jun chuckled as he caught Ohno's adorable sleeping face on Nino's lap.
"I guess everything went well yesterday?" Sho asked with a smile, taking his seat on the couch.
Nino nodded agreeably. "Yeah, though our plan didn't go well.. But I think I managed to settle them all.." he replied and caressed Ohno's hair lovingly.
"By the way, Satoshi asked me to congratulate both of you.. He didn't even notice that you guys are together and only knew after I told him yesterday.." Nino turned to look at Jun and Aiba, who then nodded with a smile.
"Thank you guys, for everything.." he said and smiled earnestly towards each member.
"No big deal," Sho replied. "Thanks to it, we are able to see your genuine smile for the first time," he added, grinning.
Jun suddenly cleared his throat, glancing at his lover before throwing the gamer a mischievous grin.
"Now that I notice it, just what did you guys do last night? Riida rarely sleep in the morning.."
Nino blushed.

The ending was weird, I know..
But I just couldn't think of anything better.. XD
