Title: An Assembly Such as This
Author: Pamela Aidan
My Grade: B+

The first book of a trilogy called Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman, a series of Pride and Prejudice sequels. This is more of the type of P&P sequel I was looking for, not like the first one I read. The story for this series is basically the same as the original only this time it's seen through Darcy's eyes. We get a better look at his inner turmoil over his growing attraction to Elizabeth Bennet.

There are noticeable differences in the scenes the author recreates from the original novel, but it's not too distracting. Although I wonder why she made the way Lizzy and Darcy meet for the first time slightly different. They meet at the same place, but the manner in which they are introduced to each other is slightly different. It made no sense to me. This books starts from their first meeting at a country ball and ends after the Netherfield ball and Darcy and Bingley's stay in London later on.

I look forward to reading the other books, I've already ordered the 2nd book and eagerly await the 3rd when it's published at the end of the year. Yay.
