Scripted

I'm so happy. A PSA I wrote for school is going to be made and showed next week to the whole school.

My school doing a program called 10 in 10 which stands for 10 resoltions for 2010. They gave different resolution to different clubs and French club got two. The first one which is for next week is not to get in a vehicle with some who has been drinking. At the meeting Mr. V handed out jobs and I got the PSA job (which I really wanted) mostly because I live down the street from the guy who puts them together.

I wasn't quite sure what the script was that I was going to write, but luckily two of my friends helped me get an idea for it before jazz band started. I wrote it up last night and showed it to a couple of people and asked for feedback. They all said it was wonderful, and that I didn't need to add or change anything. Mr. V. loved it but wasn't sure if we were allowed to portray someone under the influence. We talked to the Journalism teacher and got it OK-ed. The Journalism teacher is basically turning me loose on it and making me the boss. She told me I could boss my neighbor around because she feels he's to bossy.

I left the Journalism room and immediately ran into my neighbor. I showed it to him telling him I wanted him to edited and film it for me. He read it and loved it and told me he wanted to make something like it himself, but he couldn't come up with the dialogue. He was trying to convince me he wanted to air it prom week, but I told him it has to air next week because of 10 in 10 (which I had to explain to him). I really hope me and one of my friends who helped me write it get to act it out, but I told him that I was OK if we didn't get to (since we have to work around getting pulled out of class and whatnot). I can't wait to see my creation in class next week, and tell everyone that I wrote it.

I'll post the scrip here if you want to read it. I'm hoping I can get a copy of the PSA after its created.

Person 1: I’m going to call for a ride home.
Person 2: Don’t I’ll give you a ride home.
Person 1: But you’ve been drinking.
Person 2: It was only a couple, besides I’m perfectly fine.
Person 1: Well alright.

[The two leave and person 2 drives. They get in a crash. Person 1 dies while Person 2 is fine]

[text on screen] Person 1 made the choice to ride with someone who had been drinking and lost their life. Person 2 is fine and won’t remember that his/her actions caused that death and will keep drinking.

Don’t be a loser and ride with a user.
